Studies

I studied to sketch with a roundbrush since I've heavily used to draw with a pencil brush or anything that's "fine enough". The cool part with sketching with a basic roundbrush is you can shade right away by increasing the brush size. You basically switch from "drawing" to "painting" back and forth. Thats really cool in my opinion. Hope you like those!

Here is 'Ecstasy of Hell' for you! I really had fun painting this. Hope you like the final result. I added some exclusive alts for you. Super hairy ones, body scribbles, sticky and added a dark fluid alt. I imagine that it came from the tentacle creature in the back. Ecstasy Of Hell WIP 2

I think the values are finally done. I wanna show you something. I've seen a cool lanscape sketch from Grady Frederick and I really loved the lighting so I thought this could perfectly fit into my painting. It's cinematic, it's dramatic and therefore perfect for my piece. It's so cool that inspiration can be everywhere. I imagine one of the priests holding a flashlight so he could see what's going on in front of him :D Hope you enjoy it so far :)

Juicy Color Study + 7 alts

Today it was study day! It's always fun to do these and it's an an amazing training for the eye. No color picker. Just simple eye-balling trying to pick the right color. Turned out pretty good, I'm happy with the result. Also I really like how the hair came out ^^ ..I love such surprising little details.
