Excited for a new month. This is swordtember, I want to include a sword in at least one of the NPC/player character exclusive art for this month 🗡

This game takes place in 1940 in France. Luca is my NPC, a Giovanni (Necromancer) and the sire of one of the players.

Raine - CW: blood

So in dnd the boys have been sent on a mission in a vampire/undead/werewolves land. Last session they were ’exploring’ a haunted house practically all night, only for it to turn out that the house was an illusion created by the ‘grave guards’ of this land. They offer for the boys to submit and join them, but the boys refuse. A fight breaks out, we are very quickly made aware that these grave guards are waaay above our level.

Shadow Lady

I have a fascination with shadow people, and I’ve been thinking about this portrait for a while so I finally drew it today. 

I will share this tomorrow but I wanted you all to have the first look. 

skin process steps

This is a mix of tutorial and process.
the main tutorial part is how sometimes I darken skin after the fact, it can really help balance the flesh tones out together. 

1. You put a layer of dark blue-ish, then make it ‘multipy’ and lower the opacity to around 20-30%

2. Add a layer of reddish–brown, then make that layer ‘overlay’ and lower opacity to whatever feels right.

Dark skin tutorial

I tried to simplify it as much as I could, but I think experimenting is always important when you’re drawing skin because each person can be a little different and light and shadows factor a lot into how it’ll look.
Use references when you’re trying this, especially to see how the light is playing off of the skin.

Process Steps

Although it’s a quicker portrait I saved up the steps and thought I’d share them. I initially started with normal skin tone, but they’re  infected and so I wanted to give them sickly skin tone.
