Hey all! Just a quick update for this weekend: The new laptop is working well so far, which is great! But this morning, I woke up early and recorded Monday's audio, and went I went to edit it, there was crackling. Lots of crackling. It was there with all headsets and with the laptop speakers. It was there with every test audio I recorded with my Rode mic, regardless of what format I recorded in, what USB port I used, etc. It was NOT there, however, when I recorded a test audio with my onboard...

Hey all! If you're on the Discord server or follow me on Twitter, you've probably already seen this, but for those who haven't: My laptop yesterday went from happy little machine to full-on possessed nightmare. It's basically shielding itself from anything I try to do to the hard drive, whether I'm trying to delete files, uninstall apps, update the OS, delete/format partitions, etc. It just keeps shutting itself down, which means it's basically unusable.

This weekend has been an exercise in FRUSTRATION with YouTube. I spent hours on chat with customer support trying to figure out why the audio I was uploading was cutting off the last 3 minutes. I tried different formats, different filenames, even different lengths of audio per their instructions. Nothing worked. In the end, they told me to give it "24 hours for more processing," but that ALSO didn't work.
You know what worked?
