By Freyr's law, Anders plants a tree for each one he chops down. He often spends the night in the woods doing so. He understands the nature of the Beasts and respects those boundaries.

Anders is unwinding after a long day at the sawmill. Brash, quick to act and quick to temper, only a few get to see his gentler side. He would rather die fighting a beast than die withering away in the safety of the Alpines.

Meet Anders

Anders is the Captain of the Sawmill and a master of close combat when it comes to fighting Beasts. He prefers to live in the wilderness than in comfort behind the walls. Like the Onsruds, he is pious and shuns the sins of the Old World.

Trailer for Chapter 1

Renders are completed for chapter 1 main events and 60% of character arcs. The programming side completed 51 exploration maps and the main story route. Look forward to launching chapter one in July.  In the meantime, thank you all for the support and patience. I did a trailer with some of the renders I completed so far. Hope you like it!

Meet Ralf

Ralf is a scholar and a boy genius. He became the Captain of the Institute despite being barely older than Britt. He is quiet and introspective, often burying himself under books, or roaming the Old World alone for field research.

Like Erland, he is infatuated with the Old World and its 'magic'. For that reason, he is distrusted by the Onsruds who fear repeating the mistakes of Ragnarok. Some even accused him of practicing feminine magic as he seems to be able to leave the walls unarmed...

March of the Huldras

Every year, the Huldras march to Alfheimr to conceive children. No one knows how they avoid the Beasts attacks or if they could even tame them. They claimed to take orders directly from the Gods and practice feminine magic. Mysterious as they might be, they are certainly not defenceless.

This is an alternate version of a CG that went into Chapter 1. Erland taking a public piss and being cocky about it is in character. I still liked this version because the background reveals much about Erland's personality. I chose the final in-game version because of the lightning and cleaner scene composition.

Prologue & Game Guide

Hi Vanirs! I created an overall game guide to explain what the stats do and a walkthrough for Prologue. Character relationships progress when you complete side quests for their arcs in Chapter 1 onwards. You can also get bonus (optional) CGs, and stats along the way through dialogue choices. I will do up another one after Chapter 1 is released.

Meet Erland the Outsider

Erland's name means the outsider, he never felt at home in Alfheimr or the Alpines, believing that he belongs to the Old World. He likes Old World music, gadgets, and relics and does not even pretend to be pious. He runs the Garage district, preferring to spend his time roaming the Old World ruins.

I did not use this nude CG of Kirk in-game because I felt it was out of character. Public pissing is probably something Erland would do. Nonetheless, it is still one of my favorites; the color tones and composition turn out pretty good.

Exploration Maps complete

Chapter 1 has a total of 51 explorable maps for you to immerse yourself in a world rich in lore and mysteries. These are some of my favorite scenic spots :) The programming for the exploration maps is now complete.

Exclusive Kirk CG not used in game

Though Kirk is the biggest and strongest, he prefers to build and mend than fight - not unless he has another option.  While personable, Kirk tends to avoid conflict and chooses the path of least resistance. He is sometimes considered the 'wild card' when the nine captains make a significant decision. He is sweet, drama-free, and clearly into boys as a romantic interest.

Tyr doesn't quite look at you when he talks. He also gets annoyed when you don't say exactly what you mean or do what you say you would.

Tyr is sensitive to loud noises, so his birth mother gave him a headphone as his birth relic. This early concept art portrays Tyr enjoying soothing music. 

Opening Scene

This is the opening scene of Chapter 1. It picks off after Britt, Borge, and Tomas remain at the farmhouse after Jostein and Jorgen go hunting for the Beast.

Character Spotlight Tyr

Tyr is named after the God of Justice. Despite being dogmatic and inflexible, he is actually the most trusted Captain to be fair across the factions. Hence. he is in charge of the Depot, resources, and deliveries to the Alpine. He will be one of the first character arc you come across in Chapter 1.

Preview for Chapter 1

This is a scene for chapter 1, where Britt and Borge discover more about their Gods and the harsh conditions in the Valley. Historically, Freyr is (phallic) worshipped by the Vikings as a deity of fertility and peace. His twin, Freya is the Goddess of War and Death who rules over Fólkvang, where half of the dead warriors go to. The other half goes to the better known Halls of Valhalla, ruled by Odin.
