MM - Chapter 116 - EPILOGUE BOOK 3

- Outside Vile Peak Town -

Lavigne was the last to arrive. Before seeing them, she felt two occupants within the small, player-built log cabin. She marveled for the thousandth time how perfectly this simulated world supported her mental ability. Lavigne immediately chastised herself for thinking of it as such.

Thanks to a fortuitous encounter on her second day of exploring ZionLine, she had taken the next step, a step she had been diligently striving...

MM - Chapter 115 - MINE, IT'S ALL MINE

While sorting through the first boss’s loot, twice, Raine had to bail out the raid group when several dozen demons attacked them at once. Each time, Rocky scattered the vermin with a colossal kick. While they slaughtered the demons, Raine swapped back to his axe since the mastery only needed a few hundred percent more. The notification came with another crunching step by Rocky. Already, two weapons were complete, filling Raine with satisfaction at his rapid progress.

Instead of waiting to be surrounded, Rocky leaned low to the ground and dashed at the rightmost rahk glahm. It was furthest from its oversized allies, marking it a prime target. From his perch on the demon's shoulder, Raine used the leaning of its torso to power a Leap that sent him zipping toward a nemaghaap recovering from its blindness.

He crashed into it weapon first, turning its wing into a twisted wreck. Outraged, it grabbed at him with clawed hands but the force projection ...

MM - Chapter 113 - NOBODY ASKED FOR YOUR CONSENT

Melani Feladay

When the boss’s killing intent slammed into Mel, she knew the moment of her first ZionLine death had arrived. Every moment of intense training that Raine put her through instantly became a kindness. Not that she disliked the abuse, quite the opposite, in fact. The others, however, were a different story. Their constant gripes and moans whenever Raine was out of earshot were unlikely to ever be repeated now that they knew the truth. He was ...

MM - Chapter 112 - FINGERING SOME DEMONS

- Caves of Quindimire -

- Seconds ago -

Knowing that a shitstorm was coming, Raine was far from idle while the giant eye revealed itself and the demons were summoned. Not yet in combat, he opened his skill store, fingers flying in a blur. He bought Guardians Comfort and Guardians Armament, then upgraded both to beginner grade for a total of five thousand Attunement.

MM - Chapter 111 - HELL HATH NO FURY

Raine was the first over the edge. He jabbed a hefty anchor into the rock two meters away, then leaped backward. The heady tingle of excitement in his gut when gravity pulled him down mixed with anticipation of what awaited them at the bottom of the crevasse.

He hadn’t been sure about the nature of their destination until seeing it for himself. Its particular crimson glow and location underground were a dead giveaway. The Caves of Quindimire they came to conquer was the seed of a demo...

MM - Chapter 110 - SULARAB TOWN

The Town of Sularab ambushed the party. They were running headlong down a dirt road, their flight from the tower having ended an hour before. Out of nowhere, dark walls invisible in the night sprang up before them. The creak of drawn bows tickled their ears, and the bright flares of readied skills turned away the night.

Raine raised his arms, palms open, “Hail, my name is Alaric. We are Travelers from Silverlight City on a quest from the Nobles’ Faction.” If Raine's words eased th...

Talerra’s eyes narrowed. She looked up at Raine, backlit by the midnight moon masked in soft clouds. Behind him, she caught sight of BrickRoll tumbling through the air. He snapped out a hand and grabbed a lower portion of the stairs, narrowly avoiding a fall all the way to the ground. Her gaze tracked back to Raine, “What kind of deal?”

Seeing the suspicion painted on her features, Raine backpedaled, knowing a better time to stretch her over a barrel was coming, “Never mind. We...

Between panted breaths, FierceFire questioned Raine’s goading, “It’s not… working. How do we… push Discipline… into the road?” It was no surprise she looked dead on her feet. Below fifteen percent Discipline, anyone would feel like they were about to die from exhaustion. They wouldn’t, and with enough training, retained full speed and power.

This was exactly the lesson Raine was determined to beat into his people before they arrived at the Raid. He wouldn’t be doing th...

MM - Chapter 106 - AND THEY’RE OFF!

Talerra stopped before Raine, bending her knees and politely dipping her chin, “Sorry we’re late, Master Alaric.”

Raine wasn't even an official expert in the past, so being referred to as master was jarring. Still, there was no reason to correct her. According to the world's current standards, he qualified as a class five martial master. Thanks to the clever deception utilizing his high Connection, she was under the impression that he was closer to peak class five, which was well ...

MM - Chapter 105 - CURSE OF A DIFFERENT KIND

- Outside Oilong’s Restaurant, Silverlight City -

Two young men perched on the back of a street bench like a couple of gargoyles. They enjoyed the day’s fading light, happily munching on kebabs. The quality and depth of the smells released by the nearby restaurant had been irresistible.

The man on the left tipped his kebab at his partner, “This is what it’s all about, brother.”

The second man nodded emphatically, “Exactly! What’s the poi...

MM - Chapter 104 - ROBBED AND CHEATED

Before Talerra or Damian recovered from their reactions to DoberMan’s betrayal, Arya clapped her hands loudly. All eyes swiveled in her direction, and her voice carried to their ears, “The patriarch has decreed this will be the end of the first round of your competition.”

Talerra’s heart sank to her feet, feeling like she was about to fall into the stone floor. Meanwhile, Damian’s smiling face lit up with expectation that was shattered as Arya continued, “Talerra has been an...

D.G. - Chapter 270 - YOUR GRACE

The midnight desert was beautiful. Serene and smooth; an embodiment of stillness and quietude, save for the gentle winds whistling a tune as old as time. Jiran, silent and all but invisible, glided over the dunes. The Voicer camp was easy to spot. Their cookfires still burned; pinpricks of light that drew the eye. Their scouts as well were lit up by Mana Omnis, standing despite their attempts to hide beneath the sand.

Jiran slowed before reaching the perimeter. While hi...

The Unbroken chased Jiran as he flew in the direction of Dokkuun's signal. They weren't moving quickly which was fine. After what he'd put their unformed auras through, he didn't want to send them into the portal anywhere near first. That honor would now belong to the Order of the Phoenix.

Hmm. There was no sign of the Mother Timberling in their soul-space. I'll have to rely on Daughter to find out if another Graymin King is coming.

Arya’s focus snapped to the mysterious Alaric when he flowed toward FierceFire. The martial movement was nearly pristine, a display of prowess impossible to replicate without intensive understanding of the underlying technique, and an empowered human physique.

Damian Tafell

Hammer’s collapsed body slowly faded to mist, replaced by a Lustrous Blue polehammer. The weapon was eagerly snatched up by the vicious little demoness who’d clearly cheated to kill him. After recovering from his shock, Damian’s eyes danced as he sent a message to one of his executioners. He could barely breathe through the anger gripping his guts and lungs.

But the little girl still had an aura of calm condescension about her, and Hammer was no coward. Muscles honed through a lifetime of training bulged, pulling him toward her one steady step at a time.

Seeing the guards jeering at his expense caused something inside Damian to snap. His anger cooled to a simmer, replaced by a calculating vendetta that would not be appeased until he personally watched every one of Alaric's relatives die, preferably while the man in question enjoyed the show, before joining them. Rounding on his aunt, Damian spoke in a trembling voice that reeked of enmity, “This is supposed to be a competition to determine personal competence and the ability to nurture stre...

Talerra fumed, scowling at Alaric's bandana-covered face as he glanced away from her to whisper something to someone. In the background of his side of the call, buildings zipped by at a speed that didn’t make sense. If she ran that fast in the city, she would definitely be fined by the guards and thrown in jail if she persisted. At least he was in the city.

Either she didn’t see me because she couldn’t break through my obfuscation, or she was already affected by the Mana Venom I left in that tier eight. I should have… No. Using Gaze or Omnis could have tipped her off.

Instead of regretting. I need to get out of here. I could make a decoy, or pack enough mana into a formation to blow up the whole area and escape in the blast wave. Am I being ridiculous? Probably. But I don’t have any way to hurt someone that powe-the at...

Zircon doing Zircon things

Found a new I2V editor that is working a lot better at following the prompt. The old one took about 10 attempts before I got a video that wasn't ridiculous. Got this one on the third try and all 3 were so good it was hard to choose which to upload! Wasn't able to get the whole sky full of fire thing, or her armor moving like living flame, but the overall animations are nice and smooth without any crazy typical AI nonsense.

D.God on the weekends!

Going forward, I will try my best to release 2 D.God chapters a week on Saturday/Sunday. So, the new current schedule looks something like:

5 chapters of MM on Friday

2 chapters of D.God on weekend

7 chapters a week, including all the editing that goes into that is not an easy schedule, and certainly not one I've managed to keep up in the past. However, I do have a healthy front-log of MM chapters that just need to be edited before release. I 'should' get a day off every now...

Stone surfaces surrounded Raine and the witch, Zoarra. The thick smell of dried blood invaded his nostrils. Numerous contraptions designed for torture littered the small space, though they couldn’t draw Raine’s attention from the finger before his nose, “Oh. it's you, what a shocking surprise…” He deadpanned, meeting Zoarra’s glassy-eyed gaze.
