Helixftr is returning to the browser as Helixftr Deluxe!
Shortly after Alsnapz announced that he will no longer be working on Helixftr, I got his permission to work on a HTML5 version of the game that would let it be played in a webpage once again for the first time since Flash was discontinued four years ago. The game is being rebuilt from the ground up around the original animations. Some quality-of-life features have already been added, and several more are yet planned.

Very small update: the reset option is now working again. It's likely there's still a memory leak in the function, but it's difficult to determine in a browser. It still runs fine for me after many resets, but I'll keep an eye on it.

Small update: the main menu has been revamped. I'm sure many people who access the game are doing so in a void (through search engines, instead of linked from one of my pages), so I've added my Patreon post feed beside the menu. Unfortunately, the Patreon API doesn't allow the retrieval of post images, which is frustrating.

For the past several weeks, I've been working on a new model for Lotti. The one used until now has been a quickly-made placeholder, so I'm happy to finally improve its quality. At this point, the model itself it mostly done, but the changes also included large adjustments of the skeleton, which requires all its animations to be remade. So it will be a bit longer before I'm able to add it to the game.

Hungry Critters hasn't updated in a couple weeks because I've finally started on what's been a long time coming: a total reorganization of the code, top-to-bottom. Play as Geier
Geier is now 100% controllable. I've created a unified control system for characters that is contextual with on-screen instructions: WASD for movement and E, R, F, Shift, and Space for various actions which change with the character's state. I also finally did some good work on unspaghettiing the code and better organizing it into classes to prepare for future content.
Some eye weirdness was also fixed in Geier's grab attack.

The Geier overhaul is finally finished and I'm happy with the results. I purchased and learned some new programs for work on this project which took a little time to figure out.
