Serum: C130

Dirk walked back with a bloody ribcage in his hand, slipping it into his pocket ring before arriving before the Grand Marshal.

She nodded at him with a pleasant smile.

“You’re ruthless. That makes me want to recruit you even more. Anyway, let’s not spare that heinous bastard another thought. I hear you want to join me on this little expedition to the major dungeon.”

“Mm.”

Dirk nodded with a neutral expression. It wasn’t really him, but Pandora who wanted ...

OS - Chapter 297

Oraios, Life, Wealth, the Mother

Yao, Creation, Mastery, the Blacksmith

Adonios, Annihilation, Kingship, the Cyclops.

And Death.

These four appeared before Luna and Iris.

Yao spoke first.

“It is done. Both of you have been forged into the Concepts. But your paths are not yet finished.”

“You have not attained the Infinite conceptual power necessary to become true Archons!”

Adonios bellowed as if they had made a stupid mistake.

Iris ...

“Check the dungeon? Only major dungeons exist, and no offense, but I don’t believe a Tier 6 carries enough insurance to traverse that place with baggage.”

Pandora chimed in with concern. Dirk was thinking the same thing.

Ever since the Advent of the Dark Dragon, all minor dungeons disappeared, and all major dungeons began spewing out monsters. The accepted theory was that the major dungeons consumed the minor dungeons and then expelled those monsters, making the major dungeo...

OS - Chapter 296

AN: Chapter is now done. I think I also have a set direction to go now, so OS chapters should come easier.

PS: I'm going to get out two chapters for each story every week, regardless of when I release them. So I might post one a day Tuesday through Friday.

Luna stood before a singular star system.

For many years she had watched this star system take shape under her guidance. She had constructed the physical laws, and with her influence, this star syste...

The capital city Horizon of the Horizon Empire.

There was no busier city than this. Both citizens and military alike were constantly moving, hastily trying to complete some sort of task or work. There were extremely few people who weren’t anxious or busy.

At the northern sector of the city was a military installation, this also being the largest military compound in the Empire. With a fortress only smaller than the Emperor’s Castle, there were tens of thousands of troops and h...

Pandora stood in the middle of a large field.

This field was located within the castle of the city itself. The castle was so massive that it had more than enough land for an internal open field.

And in the center of this field was a large structure being worked on by a couple dozen mages.

The structure consisted of a large circular platform about 50 meters in diameter. And on the edges of this platform rose arches that curved over from one side of the platform to the other. ...

Have been plotting out OS's ending. I think I'm writing more notes than story at this point.

OS - Chapter 295

Iris disappeared not long after Luna did.

Like Luna, Iris appeared amongst nothingness, but she wasn’t alone.

Annihilation stood before her. He was overbearing, overwhelming, pressuring Iris with every bit of his existence. She felt like she would be obliterated if he continued the way he was going

But despite every one of her instincts and senses ringing out with alarm and fear, she shot a twisted smile back at the Archon.

Annihilation, a cyclops with six arms, four...

“Why are you being so friendly with me?”

“That’s… an out of the blue question.”

Pandora was a bit caught off guard.

Dirk’s gaze remained level at her.

“I seem to remember pissing you off before we left.”

“You did. After all, just how you don’t appreciate being called a supersoldier, I don’t appreciate being called a psycho.”

“So what’s with the sudden change in attitude?”

“Sudden?”

She tilted her head.

Dirk wasn't happy as he appeared before the final general.

Although he kept moving, Dirk had continuously recovered as each minute passed by. His nanites had sealed any wounds and restructured his bones, so his combat ability rose back up to decent levels.

But it all seemed for naught in front of this last general.

It wasn't that the general was massive and savage. No, although it was massive, it was quite far from savage.

It was a turtle.

A large turtle that jus...

OS - Chapter 294

AN: Here's a new chapter! Took me long enough. I've been gone so long I had trouble getting back into this. But here we go. The first step toward our ending.

Hope you enjoy!

“So at what point do we have to start?”

“Well, it’s been long enough…”

Luna mumbled as her gaze turned toward the monolithic gods around them.

They were so distant, their bodies no doubt millions of light years away. Yet, they saw them as giants. One of them was e...

I'm back...

Alright, school is officially done. I'm finally free.

I'm starting back up on Tuesday, so Tuesday and Wednesday are going to be when I really focus on churning out chapters. And come Thursday, I'm going to have a chapter dump for everyone.

I'm excited! I finally get to worry about something other than loads of homework and tests. I'm just sorry to you guys who have been left dry for a while. I hope my two other stories were able to satiate you all, at least a little. View Post

Zombie RPG - Ch 10

---Jack POV---

"Dammit! Shit!"

I cursed so loud that Kevin winced from beside me.

I got scratched!

After getting my sleeve torn off, I had felt those sharp, jagged nails tear down the skin of my arm. There were two red slices from my elbow to my wrist. It exposed the muscle underneath, and blood poured from the wounds.

The pain was nothing though. I've gone through far more pain than this, most of it coming from my training. My pain tolerance was actually one of ...

Zombie RPG - Ch 9

---Elijah POV---

I led my group from building to building. Wherever I went, they'd be following right behind. Nobody wanted to get separated, and putting even 10 feet between you and another person felt like you were being exposed.

Everyone behind me had their weapons hoisted, ready to use them at any time. When we passed across the street, I would point out the zombies we needed to kill and who would kill them.

I would usually take one, while I would assign two people per e...

Ectoplasm was a kind of spiritual essence or fluid, according to human dictionaries.

As for what the Archive considered it to be, I wasn't sure. Still, everything displayed by the Archive was in English terms that I could understand. It was unlikely that the Archive's Ectoplasm was much different from what we thought it to be, considering it used that specific term.

In that case, could I strengthen my spirit by using Ectoplasm? It was counted by units and acted as some sort of cur...

Zombie RPG - Ch 7

My skeleton rushed over in a sprint, and despite the urgent situation, I thought that I should start thinking of a name for my minion.

We followed behind, brandishing our weapons.

"Elijah, let my skeleton handle the grabber. Nobody get close!"

Just as I spoke, the Grabber in question released the man. His entire front side was now horribly disfigured, looking like he had been repeatedly slashed and burned by acid. Whatever happened when he was grabbed, it wasn't pretty.

Six of us followed behind Elijah. Kait was right behind him, and I was right behind Kait.

I had swapped my knife for one of the heavy pipes that we gathered. After having made the tip pointed with a hammer the day before, it was both a heavy weapon and a spear.

Elijah led us in the direction of the Screamer. We dashed from building to building, keeping our eyes out for the grotesque monster. It had left Elijah's line of sight a while ago when he was watching from the store, but he...

After brushing off Kait's complaint, we continued forward. I also retracted my skeleton. While it was a useful soldier, we could move better with just us. I'd bring it out when needed.

We roamed through the library, exiting out the back door. We then continued down the street, clearing through building after building.

With us moving quickly, rapidly dispatching any zombies that got in our way. Most of our encounters started with me sending out my skeleton. We were all hoping that ...

With another weapon, we were vastly more prepared. A machete was especially useful, not requiring close contact in order to use it like knife.

All hour of us gradually got serious as we walked through the parking structure. Then, we suddenly heard a noise.

"Hacc!"

An odd sound echoed through the lot, causing all of us to freeze. Far away amidst the cars, there was a single zombie wandering around. It looked like an athlete, one who had apparently been late to practice and en...

After a coach did a sweep of the stadium and found no more zombies, the athletes were called to come and help out with various jobs.

Bins and jugs were brought out and filled with water. Emergency food supplies were similarly prepared. And with everyone clean and fresh, the mood was much calmer than earlier.

However, after watching the two men who were scratched for a few hours, it was found that their condition was getting worse. The wound began to show signs of infection, and th...

Note: For this story, the tables, boxes, and dividing lines I had for all the stat tables aren't able to be pasted here. Just know it would look much cleaner on SH or RR.

Also, this is my first go at a first person novel, not third person like the others. Let me know how you all like it.

"Oh god, I hate running..."

"I feel that."

My friend hummed from beside me. The next moment, we took off on a jog.

It was only our warmup, but every time I stepped up to that line, it was like I could feel all the pain that was soon to come.

At this point though, I had gotten used to it. I just liked to complain sometimes. In the end, I'd sprint until I puked and felt like dying.

It was my third year in college, and I was a decently accomplished track athlete. I ...

"Ugh!"

When Issac's eyes opened, he grunted forcefully.

An intense pain wracked his head. Only, it wasn't due to a headache, but his soul. He could still feel the wounds on his soul and how they seemed to eternally stab his mind with invisible knives.

"Issac? Can you hear me?"

"...Yea."

Issac barely nodded. After a few seconds, he realized that his body was actually perfectly fine. He could go for a full workout and not agitate the wounds. It was his soul that wa...

Three days passed within the starship.

During this time, Issac worked quickly to integrate the new galactic terminal into Nifty. This was finished by the second day, and when he was done, Issac took a look at the cat.

Nifty had a great many gadgets within him. Issac had a lot of spare time over his years on the farm, and Nifty was the main focus of much of it. Thus, everything that comprised Nifty's body was refined to the utmost, perfected in every way it could be. The only thing...

After sleeping for an unknown amount of time, Issac was shaken awake by his mother. As his eyes opened, he found that his room was totally empty, leaving behind discoloration on the floor and walls that indicated something had once been there. There were also bright lights coming from his window despite it being night.

"...Alright."

Knowing that this was coming, he pulled himself out of bed. Walking out of his room and down to the ground floor...

Throughout the night Issac and Asphodel held a nonstop discussion. They bounced between all kinds of scientific concepts, both bringing a unique standing to the table and then comparing. They also brought up many real world problems they had, attempting to help the other solve their dilemma.

Occasionally there would be thoughtful exclamations followed by bouts of laughter as they came to many understandings. Even as they dropped by the kitchen to get a late night snack and drink, they w...

"Why not?"

"I have better vision than normal, so dark places aren't that dark for me."
