It's really too hot to be fishing all this week, there's hope for next week temperature wise, but not even a prayer of rain. First real dry spell we've had this year! We talked about pulling the lines for a bit, as the river is so low, but here's the dill pickle, the dams will open mid October at Nolin, Barren and Green River lakes, and flood the whole area for a month.

We knocked out two videos today! A little playing in the garden and then line check. One nice blue, no others. My gourd dipper plant officially owns the greenhouse frame, you can barely tell its under there! Finally got to sample the pickled beets, holy shit! I can't believe I've lived this long without them. So good I planted fall beets today. Made a garden salad and enjoyed it in the gourd tent.

FINALLY
Got a second line run and baited. Took us forever to get back to it after family stuff. We have a cold front hitting tonight that'll drop our next few day's high to around 76. Hoping it'll stir them up a bit. Double the hooks, double the fun, we're just about into the good season!

Garden is thriving
Potatoes have been dug up, that video will be on YouTube tomorrow, and the sunflowers are next! I never realized you could watch the seeds develope under each little blossom!

sorry it took me a damn week to get this one out, it's been a crazy few days. The river did go about 2 feet higher after this was filmed, and overall has dropped nearly 14 degrees, from 78 to 62.5. Chilly for July! Needless to say fishing has become a losing battle on this river and if things don't pick up in the next few weeks, we will be considering going back to the Green. River is up 7 feet and has made the line hard to find, it's catching a ton of debris and storm fallen branches, and the higher current is causing the line to bow more downstream and lose its depth. The fish were in full nest mode here, but the storm water dropped the river from 78* to a chill 64*. Curious to see how this will effect the fishes. We're still at it, but for a few days can't do anything but wait for the water to come down. Video coming to patreon tomorrow.
