I checked the book again, and the carefully carved out geometric symbols and runes for the ritual in a chamber on the 1st layer. Since I had to use my sword carefully to cut into the dungeon floor, it was as good as I could make it. Ozy had fixed some minor mistakes I had made, but he wasn't good at altering stone. He could only make small changes to stone.
The first step was to place all seven yellow cores carefully. Those had been a pain to get from Champion monsters in the 11th layer...

"My old friends, troll-type monsters," I said while looking at the large green beasts.
These were much beefier than the Champion back on the 1st layer. It fit that the first Champion monster I would face on my own in the 11th layer was a troll.
The dungeon truly had a sense of humor.
I patted the dungeon wall.
"Keep it up, and I will be like my mother and shove a sword where it hurts."
The dungeon didn't react.
Much bigger, the Champion was at least three t...

"I have an idea," I said.
We had been clearing monsters on the 11th layer. We had found nothing else left behind by Stormy, and there was no sign she was following us.
Staying in the dungeon was fine, but the main issue was supplies. Fighting and killing beastkin that came down was too risky. They could be completely useless, or they could be a legend. It was too risky to attempt ambushes at entry passages.
"What are you thinking of? Not another bad idea, I hope," Harren ask...

Everyone was silent, thinking about what to do next.
"Aren't we stronger together?" Sam asked me with a pleading face as the tension grew.
I didn't reply to this.
"You are leaving regardless?" Stormy asked, understanding what was really happening.
I nodded slowly.
The team was finished. The question was whether this was going to be a hard breakup or not. Any verbal response would just increase tensions. Breaking up like this was the politest way, but feelings wou...

“Hello Miss White,” John greeted me again. He was the representative for the US Government. His official title was Special Advisor to the President, otherwise known as the Exponential Tzar. While I had brushed him off before, I couldn’t refuse this meeting.
“Special Advisor,” I greeted him using his title. He smiled and shook his head.
“Please just call me John,” he replied.
“What is the US Government asking for now?” I asked John.
“You rejected the...

"That was another snow-themed chamber," Stormy said as we rested for the evening at the 5th layer.
No one said anything as a cloud of depression hung over our group. Most environments in the dungeon chambers were shifting than the standard rock and plant chambers, which was concerning.
It signaled that we were headed up towards a passage that we hadn't come down from. The answer was obvious, but no one wanted to say it. We were far off course, and it was because of the team of bea...

The cursed damage had ruined my tier 5 armor and other equipment. The cursed damage, or hostile Mana, from the demon's skills had completely wrecked any enchantments. Ripping the melted off my burnt flesh even leveled up Pain Absorption.
I couldn't sense the exit passage.
While I hated retreating and didn't want to retreat, it would have been smart.
Unfortunately, even with my Depth Sense maximized and merged with other ...

"I spotted another team of seven members," I called out as we were almost done clearing a chamber.
We were making our way through the passage to the surface. I noted the seven beastkin enter.
I finished up my last monster and retreated with the rest of the team to where the war mech was. The war mech hadn't been fighting and was standing on watch while we had been clearing chambers without its help.
I could see the beastkin spreading out slightly, but they hadn't taken up ho...

“The information you requested,” the information broker pushed over the stack of papers regarding the items I had gotten in the last battle.
The White Rose was useful as a high end item for a unique legendary plant based skill. Valuable, but not something I needed or wanted. The Tome of Lightning was the same as well. Lightning Barrage was a great skill, but I didn’t have room to specialize with such a skill. A lightning mage would have been a better choice for such an it...

The reference table I use to track Justin's skill level gains up to chapter 155. The other amounts are the skill levels of the peasants (aka everyone below Justin). Yeah, its a lot of levels compared to the common people or even elites.

This is a list I work off of named/known skills that Justin likely doesn't have. It also doesn't include everything from the College either. But if someone uses some kind of skill, I want to be able reference it again in the future, this is that list. There was one major spoiler, which I removed.
Current update, chapter 155.

Almost a day had passed since the intense battle, and we were sitting down, eating another stew I had made.
"Thank you for the food," Stormy said.
"You're welcome," I replied.
"Helps recovery. Every team should have a cook," Harren said.
"Any changes to the stew?" Sam asked.
"No. It is simple and easy to make. If you want something else, there is hardtack, salty meat, or you can wait until we go back to the surface."
"Ah, never mind," he said.

My arm felt like it was going to fall off as I struggled to breathe in the oven we were in.
We had retreated to the trapped tunnel, which was blocked behind us.
A small mercy.
Stormy had blocked off the entrance in front of us with angled Stone Walls pointed towards us.
Monster after monster swarmed into our position as we rotated every five minutes between Harren and me.
Stormy kept the walls stable while Sam disoriented the monsters rushing in to get u...

I thought of my trip down in the dungeon and how I had reached the 29th layer so long ago.
It was something I didn't enjoy talking about.
The demon could guard only one passage, and when I had descended, I hadn't run into it.
I suppose that was my good luck.
Or it had appeared after my descent over two millennia ago.
The monsters' skills from that deep honestly scared even me.
That was why I had never ...

“If all your enemies came together, could you win against them all at once?” Tim asked.
“Yes. I would instantly wipe them out. My power is at the pinnacle of the Systemic Lands,” I replied.
“Wow! What can you do?”
“Perfectly manipulate my skills and energy to create annihilation planes.” I w...

I approached the compound and looked at the doors. I could fly over the six story buildings that acted as a wall, but that would be rude. I knocked on the door and took a step back. A window above the door opened up and a young man looked out.

“Could you tell Doctor Katz and Michelle an old friend has come to say hello,” I said.

While it was tempting to find another route. It was an enormous hassle to back the war mech up and turn around.

Giant armored flying beetles, with smaller armored bugs on the ground, crossed our path.

We had stopped for the day.
Our team had been in the dungeon for over a week. There had been a lot of rotation in team formations, but it was working out somehow.
There had been no life-or-death moments, thankfully. Everyone was capable enough and got their chance to shine.
Tonight, I was on watch for half the night and split the other half with Sam.
While it was unlikely anything would show up during the night, it was just common sense to have someone sit up.

We carefully advanced into the first tunnel for the 11th layer. It was large enough to fit the war mech, barely.
Sam was just behind us as we constantly scanned for any traps.
Sensing something, I held up a hand. I wasn't sure what, and I was cycling through my sensing skills.
"I see it," Sam whispered. "A null wire and then pressure plates. They seem to link up with a crush mechanism." His trap experience was proving its worth. "Ten...

The entire team except April was in the dungeon entrance chamber as we waited for April to maneuver the war mech down. The Indomitable was supposed to be just below the size where it would be impossible.
The team from the city we had reached had expanded the entrance passage and increased the density of the stairs. April had funds to pay for such things, but now we would see if it was even possible.
Harren made a crude joke. "It is going to be like a duck giving birth to a goose."...
