May 2025 Runner-Up: Sadayo Kawakami (1/2)

So I wanted to try a couple different thing this time around to try and spice up the runner-up position. I went with a sort of cel-shaded look that's a middleground between my super-rendered stuff for the 1st place winners and just standard flat colors.

I'm also going to try experimenting more with blue edits whenever I can, with some caveats.

I'm trying to get a bit better about layer management so I can reliably do edits without essentially needing to recolor the entire piece....

It seems Yu Takeyama has fallen for a trap set by the duo Gentle and La Brava, and now her predicament is broadcasted for the world to see! How will she and Mineta get out of this one? Beats me, I haven't thought that far ahead yet.

A very ambitious set of pics that I'm hoping to deliver on once they're finished, technically speaking, this is up there with being the largest I have ever drawn a character.

Not a lot this month unfortunately. It could change but the first half of this month was plagued with a lot of art block but I kind of started getting it back in the second half.

Updates for end of April going into May + Info on May poll

Things here have been a bit slow due to some extra work I had to pick up at my job due to Easter, but I wanted to confirm some things while I have some downtime

• The last Maya pic is about 90% done, all that's left is coloring some background elements and tweaking the colors if needed.

• The batch of stuff I drew in April will go up soon. I keep putting off the update since I spontaneously get new ideas and add on to the pile over time but I think I'm in a good spot ...

I wanted to experiment with a new lineart method for this image and I'm very pleased with the results, so I may try to apply this to more future work if others are interested in seeing it.

• A couple Pantys. I give Stocking a lot of love (even though there's still that WG sequence I need to finish) so I felt it was only fair.

• A more complex sketch of Palutena's army against one of Medusa's more formidable monsters. Watch out Pit!

• Monkey Pink did not take her defeat against Jimmy/Hikaru well. Hopefully that net is big enough.
