Also some behind the scenes stuff. Not long ago I started working Zbrush and Sketchup into my workflow, both for creating backgrounds as well as mannequins to help with complex compositions, poses, keeping size diff and other stuff consistent, etc. etc. The janky character mannequins were made using Zspheres in Zbrush and very crudely turned into a raw .obj file. Thanks for being so patient with updates, especially comic stuff. I'm currently going through an inexplicable improvement spurt, having shifted my focus to gesture and story over form. I'm also trying to do lineart with a similar technique to my sketches, that is to say with longer, confident (S and C curves and straights) strokes drawn from the shoulder, not the wrist. It's tricky but imo it has improved my figure drawings and linework in a short time, but I feel a bit like a dumb baby drawi...

A couple months ago I experienced a severe emotional breakdown. It was caused by several things, including seasonal depression, cabin fever, isolation and burnout. This led to a near-total loss of my enjoyment in not only art but life in general, which kinda sucked.
I'll spare you the details, but due to lots and lots of hard work and other things, I'm finally managing to pull my head back out of my ass.
