It might have been nicer if Uranus wasn't such a plain planet, but I'm still really happy with how this pose and figure shape turned out. I knew the ring would be perfect for accentuating her assets. :D
Three more images will be posted the next two weeks, and the third week will have two, plus everyone together.

The prettier of the ice giants, color-wise. Folks' preferences between Neptune and Uranus might depend on the figure types they like. =P

and Charon! I wanted to work in that they more or less orbit each other, instead of Charon orbiting Pluto. Pluto's heart makes for a nice bust, but I didn't want to make her too big since she's only a dwarf planet.

This series is going slower than I anticipated... my own fault now, but makes me glad I decided to do the series before commissions this month.
The patterns on Jupiter are a bit of a love hate thing... so time consuming, but they do get relaxing once you get into it. Last time I attempted the planets forever ago, someone suggested having Saturn's rings squeeze into their belly, but I thought it would work better with Jupiter instead.

Neptune and Saturn! Saturn turned out Marilyn Monroe ish but I'm sticking with it; Saturn is the prettiest planet, IMO, so it fits.

Day two of getting back into work and I hurt my neck, hurrah... I got very little done yesterday but I'm making headway with cleaning the sketches today. The terrestrial planets have more 'realistic' figure types but the gas giants are more inflation-y rounded. I adore how Uranus is turning out, I might have to tweak the final layout so Jupiter isn't covering her leg.

Finally getting back to work, after, well, working my butt off and taking a week to go comatose. I got them all roughly sketched today, took a bit longer than I thought because it's 11 figures in one go and I kept going back and redoing some.
I'm still thinking of how I want to release these, but it might end up being individually and then a big group piece at the end.
