When it comes to sequences I sometimes pick colors right off previous parts instead of going through the grayscale process all over again. I'm not sure if it makes much of a difference in the end.

KA BLAMMO or, BOOOSH, I thought that was a bit wetter sounding.
So, popping. I didn't intend to include any at the outset but it regularly got brought up in comments and here we are. I wanted a reason the loompettes couldn't use the berries for themselves anyway, and fatally allergic is a pretty good reason. I might have made the burst panel gorier, but I figured since popping isn't a focus I should keep it discretionary.

I love drawing the loompette's faces
When it comes to a sketch & ink day, I usually take a break for a couple hours between the stages, it helps to catch some weird mistakes. When I sat down to ink today, though... I knew that was supposed to be Boss in the corner but I have no idea what I was doing with that sketch. I like my sketches to be pretty tight, you can see where I re-sketched under the lines there.

I'm glad Manga Studio has the flip viewing options so I don't actually have to draw Katie's face upside down all the time.
I did up the thumbnails for the remaining pages and looks like PDE will end at 32 pages instead of 30. Multiples of 4 are better if it somehow went to print (say, for sizecon if that happens again), but 30 pages meant I could finish it this month, a convenient break. I can't decide which of the last two panels I like more, I like how Katie's face looks in the second last, but I also had a lot of fun pelting her with berries. These loompettes better work on their aim when they get the chance!
