Did something a little different for this spread, I don't like inking backgrounds and then doing colors so I thought I'd paint the BG first and bring it back into Procreate to ink the background figures. I'm not sure if it saved any time or not but it was worth a shot.

More precisely, Day 1 in the Life of a Lutinette! Don't worry, we're not going back to Panspermia monochrome, we'll have full colour soon enough. The loompettes are just sensitive to light while growing.

okay, real answer: because I think it's funny. But I figured the cast needed someone who was more active and rebellious. A mallowcreme blob that still has claws, and a newly forged alliance with Carrie that will be expanded on in a later chapter!

My traditional inks have been untouched for some time so I may have cheated a bit and did this all digitally. Traditional inks are nice and better for hatching but oh so messy.

It's only most of a year late :'D There were some scheduling hiccups that prevented me from doing this when I finished the chapter and then I didn't want to interrupt Don't Be Picky. I thought, since Ask the Cast is a bit of a break anyway, it would be a good time to finally give Panspermia its final cover.
