With all of these tanukis, I thought it only fair to do their western cousin, the classic trash bandit!
I wanted to go for a scruffy thief/rogue archetype rather than a gentleman thief (though that can be a fun design to do! ) And for some reason, I really wanted to do a green jumper of some kind, mostly because I seem to rarely seem to use green colours on characters haha

Uh oh, it's the weekend and I'm back on my Housamo train.
I was readingthrough the translated dream event and outside of a potential weight gain scenario in a candyland dream, a moment that stood out to me was honestly the main character, Cu Sith and Alp preparing to go to sleep in the classroom which resulted in the aformentioned cuddle pile.
I thought it was very cute
I'm not too sure on this one, I wanted to try and do a hyena type character and in my mind, I was thinking a fisherman type vibe, similar to the badger character I've designed prior.
I'm not sure how well that reads or if the proportions are good or not, I feel like I'm missing something to this design?

I wanted to try and do another small character! I decided to go with a red panda as a cute simple design and gave them a scholarly look, and then I proceeded to put books on top of their head, haha.

So new Housamo characters were announced and to my surprise, they introduced Tindalos from the lovecraftian story Hounds of Tindalos!
Admittedly I doubt Lovecraft imagined him as a gay work out game twitch streamer but who am I to judge. This dummy can manifest through angles acute of 120* but this character does not seem like a character that can do math, so I imagine they run headfirst into corners a lot.

They wanted their character Mazhi wearing formal attire whilst looking grumpy in an alleyway! I tried experimenting with my lineart and colours for the background in this piece. Rather than try to have everything perfectly straight and perspective correct, I wanted to try and be a bit more loose and organic. Hopefully it comes across well!
I wanted to go with a really fun looking chameleon type character, going for some interesting colour combinations for the skin whilst their clothing is black and white. Fortunately, the fun thing with chamelons, is that we can constantly change the hue of the skin but I'm pretty happy with this combination ~

I forgot to upload this one! An idea I had for a while that I love is the idea of a small petite character inside a massive enchanted coat and clothes that make them seem much bigger! An idea that I've had floating about in my head when doing this design project but wasnt quite sure how to go about it! The idea was that a character is either undead or is cursed to appear undead whilst they are in direct sunlight, so the magical character at least wears a big hat to keep themselves in the shade.

I'm pretty happy with this design!
I had an idea of a beserker/barbarian type character that was a big horse. They'd use blinders to tunnel vision their way to striking the enemy. I was trying to diversify the body types so I thought one chonky muscle of a horse would work well!
Then the idea of them wearing cowboy attire seemed like a fun idea and then one after another, I ended up creating probably the most blatant fan service character yet haha.

With this character, I wanted to have a drunken master aesthetic along with some colourful painting on a tiger! It allowed for a fun dynamic pose and allowed me to practice a species I don't get to draw that often!
I'm quite happy with how the colour schemes came out with this one!

Another fantasy design! With this one, I fancied trying to do another skunk character. Whilst the first one seemed smarter and calculated, I wanted to try and go the otherway and have an easily distracted happy go lucky guy!

I wanted to go with a cute more anthro style hedgehog rather than a sonic style one here. I quite liked the idea of having beady eyes until they put the goggles on ala velma or other cartoon characters.

My thoughts on this one was I wanted to draw a red panda type character with an unusual weapon and a cool dress sense, and to draw an archer with thighs that could crush a watermelon.

As folks know, I've created a nice little tradition this past few years of doing a chinese new year themed ych auction! With this one, I wanted to do a cowboy/western type scenario but with all the characters bar the bartender turned into cows/were already cows!
This was also a fun challenge for me, because I wanted to try some backlighting effects rather than my typical go to lighting set ups.
