We've added a "resync data" button to game pages on PlayTracker Social.  This button shows up on your own games and pressing it will add that  game to the sync queue.

This should help with game achievement data that is outdated, a common  issue for Quest participants. Check it out!

The first of many

It's been a year since I launched PlayTracker to the public, and to commemorate this occasion I’d like to talk about the origins of PlayTracker, the year since launch, and look forward to where PlayTracker is going in the next one. I’ll try to keep it short and interesting, but if you’re only interested in the future scroll down to the last paragraph.

The original idea for PlayTracker was ridiculously simple and almost unrecognisable from the site we have today. It was just a simp...

A tease of things to come

Here is the first glimpse into the upcoming PlayTracker redesign I've mentioned in a couple of posts. We're going dark-mode, baby!

This redesign will be mostly visual, but it will come with a hefty speed boost and some new customization options. More importantly, it has been built with future features in mind. The current design has become more cluttered and counter-intuitive with every new feature update.

The redesign will be the next major update, coming later this month. After ...

Minor Update 05.02.2019. (quest re-roll, fixes)

After the big update the other day, I've implemented some minor requested features and fixed various issues that cropped up, all related to Quest.

  • added the option to reroll the generated quests for PlayTracker Quest - one per month
  • fixed bugs with quest generation - quest generation can still fail sometimes, but should allow you to simply try again right away instead of causing permanent problems like the infamous "only one quest generated" bug
  • moved the mystery...

Minor Update 19.01.2019. (bug fixes and performance improvements)

  • optimized Steam game sync performance to hopefully speed things along
  • fixed a bug where profile pages would show a non-existent profile as "syncing" if a user had opted to show that card on his profile

PlayTracker Quest: Winter Adventure extended once more and other Quest news

The current PlayTracker Quest - Winter Adventure - has been extended through the end of the month. It will now end on January 31st with a new Quest beginning on the 1st of February.

  • it allows PlayTracker Quest to be put on a simpler and tidier strict monthly schedule
  • it gives us time to promote PlayTracker Quests to new users

Minor Update 17.11.2018. (visual fixes)

I've been fixing issues as they pop up over the past week in regards to the new user-game pages. Here are some things that have been fixed:

Minor Update 07.11.2018. (checks and balances)

A minor update has rolled out today implementing some rather necessary checks and balances to the system.

  • When loading a user-game page, the system will check if the number of individual achievements synced corresponds with the total number saved from before the revamp. If there is a discrepancy, the system will mark the user-game as "syncing" and put it in the sync queue with high priority. This essentially means you can force the system to prioritize syncing a particular game of yours ...
