Hello once more! Over the past month we've been rebuilding Steam achievement sync, fixing bugs, and making some big moves behind the scenes.

Feature update: Playtime for XBOX games

A much requested feature goes live today.

Playtime tracking is now available for XBOX!

The playtime stat is available for:

• XBOX Series X/S
• XBOX One X/S
• PC via the XBOX app

Unfortunately, there is no playtime data available for XBOX360 and older platforms.

Premium users and users that have logged in over the past week have had all their playtime synced for all of their games.

Achievement activity chart expanded and updated

We've rolled out an update to PlayTracker Insight which includes a revamp of the achievement activity chart that displays the achievement data of game's players spread over time.

Monthly chart

An additional more detailed chart based on monthly achievement activity data for a more in-depth view. This new chart is available to Epic-tier patrons and above, and can be found under the existing yearly breakdown chart of the same data that remains as it is.

More geographical data for Steam and PlayStation games on Insight

Due to popular demand from supporters on Patreon, we have updated the Geography chart on Steam and PlayStation game pages on PlayTracker Insight.

In addition to the existing relative popularity score, which is also used for the map itself, each country on the list now also includes an absolute figure: the percentage of players in the game’s playerbase that are from that country.

Results may not add up to 100% as some users do not have their country set on their profile and some ...

Windows API data returns to Insight

Windows API data has been restored to PlayTracker Insight, and games are no longer showing 0 popularity.

The issue was a result of a change on Microsoft's end which caused our system's way of discerning what is a Windows game and what isn't among the many games reported to no longer be valid. As a result, random XBOX games appeared, and soon after we disabled data while we worked on a fix.

Geography chart and playtime stats for PlayStation games on Insight

After laying the groundwork with our new PlayStation sync system last month, we have now pushed a small update exposing some new data for PlayStation games on Insight:

Geography chart - shows the relative popularity of a game by country (adjusted for the overall number of users from the country)

After a long time and a lot of work, we have redone our entire sync code from scratch to adjust to changes Sony has made on the back-end over the past year.
