Hi Patrons,
Sorry the past week has been extremely light on LP content.
But I got a chance to review the remake of Nier, and I had to jump at it. It's a big one, and while I know it's not the same as our good daughter Derby smashing her way through cursed sewers or Gabriel Knight sleuthing his way through the New Orleans summer... I hope you enjoy it all the same.
I'll be back to recording tonight so expect a new LP tomorrow and from there we should be back on schedule...

Sometimes you have to do a whole lot of busy work, backtracking, grinding. The kind of stuff that might be tedious or boring. And you have to find some way to make it fun.
Booty Bandit and Lady Omelet engage in some hellacious grinding and burn through some old quests (and one new one! -- jump to 42:45 if you just want that) and they do it really damn fast...

We missed last week due to some personal stuff, and Sunday I couldn't record because I was swamped with writing a new article. But, I wasn't going to let us go one more week without checking in on Shin Megami Tensei!

I had so much fun recording this that I completely lost track of time and recorded nearly three full hours of MMO Mayhem.
I do a lot of voices in this one. They're not good, but I give it my best. And really they are all entirely appropriate. Sometimes I even forget which voice I gave people and do a completely different voice the second time. It's good.
Also, I rock the hell out of the locked chest minigame this time.

What a weird, wondrous game. I'm not sure that I ended up liking it as much as my memory wanted me to believe, but I had a blast recording all of these.
We'll be moving on to a new old school adventure game now that this one is finished, and I'm thinking that maybe I'll let YOU help decide where we go next.

What's this another special episode? Well, kinda.
OBS crapped out on me and left me with a dead MP4 file, and I wasn't about to let it stay dead. So with the help of some dodgy shareware with some even dodgier subscription practices, I was able to salvage the video from the recording. Mostly. In this episode, Derby dies. A lot. Like a whole lot. Our death count shoots from 2 in the last episode all the way up to 12. But for every one of those deaths, our beautiful daughter Derby takes out at least 10 undead. Live, Die, Repeat. That's the Dark Souls motto.
