February 13, 2024: ECA 0.8 Changelog & Release Dates

I'm finally at a point I can reliably set out the changelog and release dates for the 0.8 ECA. While I'm just short of having 50% of it put together, my schedule and the remaining content should, theoretically, make it easier to assemble and compile. February 8, 2024: Sneak Peeks

The principal imaging and animating for 0.8 is complete. I may have to go back and do some fixes, but with the writing and the main graphics done, we're on the downhill run to completion.

With somewhere around 2600 images, I figure a good promo release of various images and characters needed to be done. These are the same ones shared on Discord. I tried to upload these last night but the internet was going in and out.

January 30, 2024: Patreon Unpausing in February

Warm day everyone.

The pausing for Patreon supporters will expire on February 9th, 2024, so wanted to let you all know I'm not going to pause the next month as I am anticipating a release to supporters before the end of February.

January 15, 2024: 0.8 Previews

January 9, 2024: 0.8 Update

Happy New Year, everyone. I hope it's been a good week-plus of 2024.

September 23, 2023: 0.7.1

So I think I've figured out how to do a transfer for Android users from Part 1 (up through 0.7) to Part 2 (everything 0.7.1 and beyond).

ECA: 0.7 SE Beta - Released to Patrons/Supporters

The full beta version of 0.7 SE has been released now and the downloads are available in the usual place on Discord. I was able to get a compressed Android version put together, but it is not tested at all. It should run fine, but some graphical issues may be present because of no platform to test them. I do have some supporters that are gracious enough to help with that, so bug reports are welcome.

July 30, 2023: 0.7 Progress

It's the middle of summer (at least in the northern hemisphere), and it's really freaking hot. I hope you all are able to comfortably make it through. Stay cool. Heat exhaustion is no joke, and heat stroke is a devil-fucker.

The 0.6b SE is released on Discord for both Mega and MediaFire downloads. This should be the final 0.6 version. I'm hoping so, because I'm well into doing the images for 0.7.

June 27, 2023: 0.6 Android Part II

After going through every possible issue, it's come down to the size of the archive. Being over 2 GB, even just a little, means it won't install.

The quick-fix to this is to compress image resolution for the Android version of 0.6, mainly going back to the early images that, while small in relative size, have much more compression space. What this means is that a stable 0.6 version will be out soon for Android.

June 26, 2023: ECA 0.6 Android Version

There seems to be an issue with the 0.6 Android version. It doesn't install in any device that's been tested (phone, tablet, emulator), though it compiles and works perfectly fine with PC/Mac/Linux, as far as I know.

ECA: 0.5.1a SE - Patreon Release

Woot! It isn't the size, it's how you use it, right?

I hope you guys enjoy this update, even if it only has a couple setup scenes for the next update (0.6). ECA: 0.5.1 - Patreon Release Dates, Changelog, and Next...

Hola.

The aim is to get 0.5.1 out to patrons starting no later than May 19th. It may be out before then, however the simple plan is ten days from now. Yeah, it's soon, but that's because it's going so well. Images are done, as are the animations. I'm editing the animations now and will begin post-processing very soon. It also helps there's very little complicated code that will need to be added.

April 12, 2023: 0.5.1 update update.

0.5.1's main additions have been written and blocked, and some sandbox additions have been written though more might materialize before the end depending on how the rendering/animations go.

It's been a while since I've done any imaging of any kind. The main reason is that the laptop I've been using for development has run out of space. When I bought this thing, I thought to myself, 500 GB isn't too bad. Of course it isn't actually 500 GB. It's 487 GB, and over 470 GB are used.
