hey-o! here's a compilation of the process of the shade lord video. most of it is silent because i would not want to subject you to re-listening to the same meme audio over and over again as i had to do for several months. i tried to cut out the parts where nothing new happens, so you wouldn't have to watch 4 seconds of nothing happening every single time. it may not be the best due to my animation "process" which is kind of all over the place, but i hope it's nice to see anyway!!!

i first heard of the contest while i was in the middle of a vacation, away from the desk i'm used to. i really wanted to make atleast two entries (i made a mockup of the idea for the 2nd one while on vacation, in ms paint with a mouse, of course.), but unfortunately i don't think i would've been capable of that. still, i made this, and i'm quite happy with it!

a little post with a bunch of traditional doodles, old and new! some of them have white outlines i do with my white gel pen, which are pretty fun to do :)
aside from that, just something to try and get a little bit back into traditional! color done with stylefile classic markers. i can't comment on how good/bad they are compared to others, like copics, but they're what my local art store sells and i've been using for years. i like them! not the cheapest, but they're pretty good.&n...

hello! i think i'll be posting drawings like this, in simple batches (i love batches), and won't be posting each individual wip frame as its own image for each finished drawing (unless you want me to! i could do that!), but perhaps i'll save it for those more complex drawings, where it's nicer to see each frame on its own without the gif compression.
not much to say about these two, except yeehaw ms paint! coloring was done in clip studio paint (i'm such a fake!) for easier process gif...

as you can see, both drawings started as traditional doodles, for extracting the linework I use the "convert brightness to opacity" tool in clip studio paint (but between you and me, the medibang paint "extract lines" tool is way better), sometimes overlaying several of the extracted linework so it's thicker.
most of the process here is the same as usual, put on some color, some more color, colored lines (best thing since sliced bre...
a few drawings i've made over the past two weeks or so! they're all drawn in a way that is different to most of my other traditional drawings, and i've only found this way about two weeks ago.
normally, i'd do sketch > lightly erase sketch > ink lineart > erase rest of sketch > marker time. this is pretty standard (i think?), but it made my lineart a little less good than it was before erasing the rest of the sketch.
i hardly ever considered doing color on top of the...
here's another post! i'm still thinking what i could share here. this drawing took me a while, but i'm very pleased with it! just a big beautiful drawing of hand of the king giving the absolute worst dead cells advice.
