risk of rain 2 voidling animation (finished video + rambling about the process in description)

hello! here is the animation i presented as my semester project for animation class. i think it's pretty cool (though simple) and i hope you guys like it! i will write a bit about the process now. 

the main idea for this animation was "what if voidlings intro animation was synced with the start of face of the deep?" and then i just kind of improvised the rest. i am glad to be able to use my video game obsessions to help me academically.

oc commission marshall - process gif

hello! here's a WIP animation for animation class. we have to make a short animation as our semester project (or however it's called), and i chose the voidling because this animation idea has been living rent free in my mind every time i listen to this track. i hope you like it!

dead cells castlevania drawing + process gif

this drawing took a while and was kind of a tricky/messy process, but i think it's finally done and i am happy (enough) with it!! it was in the "almost finished" stage for a good while, but didn't look quite right to me yet. i was really happy with the idea of the composition and the lineart was nice enough, but i really struggled with colors.

just finished another commission! this one was for @woodiebugg on tumblr, of their OC corvo. this one was pretty simple but fun! i think this design is really cute. also, i drew a background for a little extra and didn't go insane about how little background knowledge i have (win!) 

i've got some doodles and wips i will show you guys soon! it's not much but i just kind of take my time with making these posts (even if i don't write a lot) so i will probably share it tomorrow instead...

hello, here i am with more commissions and process! at the moment they are closed, so i only have 3-4 left to finish, and my (honestly not immensely intense) spring-summer commission grind will come to an end... and the college grind will begin! huzzah!

i really liked the veigar sketch in the first image, and wanted to turn it into its own traditional drawing, but recreating it by eye was really annoying and the sketch is too small to just trace over - so i did the most logical thing - draw it digitally. just kidding. i printed it out on a sheet of paper so that the size matches up with the a5 piece of paper i wanted to draw it on, and used my light table ...

this commission took kind of forever to do, but i'm really happy with the final result! the commissioner was very kind and patient with me.

these designs are so rad! they have a lot of different details on them that i managed to keep forgetting so i felt like i constantly had a list of specific things to draw/get to/polish, but i think that's nice sometimes.

also, i'm going to college in like two months (scary!!) so i don't know...

the first commission is an OC that the commissioner wanted drawn as a dead cells character. as you may know i freaking love dead cells so getting commissioned to draw it is really fun!! well it's still work but i guess it's fun. ish. i think it came out pretty great!

mustache girl EX timelapse

here is the timelapse for the mustache girl EX drawing i started all the way back sometime in summer 2022 when i was in my "replaying a hat in time on a good laptop and becoming obsessed with it" era (it was very fun)

i took a lot of really long breaks in-between working on this drawing, but i think that's okay! i find it quite fun to have something to just chip away at bit by bit. i think i'm finally happy with it and as promised i made a little timelapse to show it off! i hope you guy...

hello fellas, just a little update on how my commissions are going (going good!) :]

i've also included some wips and doodles i've made recently/have already shared on the discord, as well as a few potions at the end. i've started working on making potion charms more often the past two months, it's very fun ^^ hope you like them!! they are pretty but a little hard to take good pictures of in my room because the lighting is not so good.

i though i'd lost the photos/process gif from back then, and i have for the most part, but not all of them! even better, i recently found some of the physical pages of this :) !! this drawing is important to me so i'm very happy about this.
