Chapter 62: USJ (3)

Izuku huffed, the three villains lying broken at his feet. Leaving them alone, Izuku went for Fumikage, carrying him into his arms post haste. Once he was securely on his person, he zoomed away from the carnage, the flames still going strong, but not spreading further than they were intended to be.

As he ran, Dark Shadow made himself known, a concerned look on his shadowy face as he stared into Fumikage’s unconscious self.

“Thanks boss, for saving Fumi.”&nbs...

Chapter 48: The Queen

The trip back to the locked door wasn’t that eventful, save for some other sorcerers and their “henchmen” hearing the commotion in the main courtyard and deciding to fight Izuku and Katsuki. Of course, it didn’t end well for all of them as the sorcerers found themselves forcefully drifting into lala-land and their “henchmen” being reduced to smears on the wall, courtesy of the ash blond.

Once that chore was all said and done, the duo returned back to the lift and rode it up,...

Chapter 47: Underneath the Top

Before they looked to the bridge as a means of heading higher up, they searched the area first to see if they could find any other way into the giant building further beyond. They found a door just below the room where Izuku fought with the twin-headed masked sorcerer, and surprise surprise, it was locked.

He had half a mind to just break it down, but then again, this was a magical academy. Who knows what might happen if he breaks something as sacred as a door leading deeper into ...

Chapter 46: Higher We Go

After resting for half an hour – as he told himself he would – Izuku stood up and began the trek back to the other Site of Grace where Katsuki and Melina waited. Fortunately for him, the sorcerers he knocked out were still unconscious, making the trip back a quick one.

Entering the room, he found Katsuki listening to Melina as her soft tone narrated the contents of the book, the ash blond focused solely on learning the knowledge and secrets contained within the dusty tome. Izuku bli...

Chapter 45: Back Again

Izuku opened his eyes, his dull, green eyes staring into a dusty old ceiling. Pushing energy into his arms, he slowly propped himself up, a light groan escaping his lips. Stretching his limbs, he rolled his neck and looked around, noting that this was the same room where he found the last Site of Grace. One thing he immediately took note of was how lived in the room was. There was a makeshift bed in the corner, with some clean empty bowls sitting right next to it.

He hummed, crawling fo...

Chapter 44: A Long Wait

Izuku growled, his zweihander ready for battle. He lunged forward, narrowly dodging a sword made of blue light careening straight towards him. He skidded across the ground, his iron boots creating marks on the concrete floor. Looking up, he saw the red giant wolf pounce towards him, maw wide open with its teeth glistening underneath the bright candle lights.

He sidestepped the attack, the red wolf’s maw shutting tight with a loud snap. As it flew past him, Izuku raised his zweihander ...

Chapter 61: USJ (2)

Izuku snarled as he grabbed a villain’s face and slammed it against the ground. He heard her skull crack as her limbs jolted for a moment before they went limp. All around him, bodies of villains were scattered with telltale signs of physical abuse. Some had their limbs bent in ways they weren’t supposed to, while others didn’t have any on them that were obvious. That being said, if they didn’t get any medical assistance soon, they would likely end with permanent injuries down the lin...

Chapter 60: USJ (1)

Blinking his eyes, Izuku pursed his lips as he slowly got up from his prone position. His skin felt hot, the sweat emanating from his skin evaporating the moment they left his pores. Looking around, all he saw was fire. The flames flickering underneath the dome-covered sky casting shadows that danced wildly like a bull in a china shop. Buildings permanently ablaze as the concrete seemed to stand stalwart against the raging inferno.

Rolling his neck for a bit, Izuku tried remembering wha...

Chapter 59: Field Trip

The weeks had gone by normally. The events after the Sports Festival were nothing short of brain-irritating normalcy that for the first time in his time back in Japan, Izuku had been craving a good fight.

It wasn’t this bad during the Sports Festival, what with the spectacle ongoing with the various contestants and him being one of them. But with the inaction over the weeks, along with the lack of spars since most of his classmates were busy preparing for the midterms exam that would ...

Chapter 43: Big Pupper

After what seemed like an eternity, they could finally see a silhouette up in the far distance. Izuku stood up from his sitting position, a slight grin on his face. Katsuki, meanwhile, scowled as he clenched his fists.

“Fucking finally. Thought this was gonna take forever.” The ash blond sneered, rolling his arms as cracks popped along his limbs. “So, how we gonna do this if there are assholes at the top?”

“Same thing we did earlier with those guarding the entrance.” I...

Chapter 58: Hero Names

The weekend passed with nothing out of the ordinary, other than Izuku, Katsuki, and Himi doing their daily routine of cleaning up the beach. The garbage collectors always arrived at 12 in the noon, courtesy of Nezu, and briefly hauled the garbage they had segregated out of the beach dump.

After that was done, they just headed back home and lazed around like the teenagers they were. Well, Izuku just liked lazing around. Preferably around a fire, but there was no fireplace in his apartmen...

Chapter 57: Beach Day

It wasn’t long after his mother had left that Himi arrived to have breakfast. As usual, she was half-awake, her eyes droopy as her hair laid a tangled mess.

“Zuzu… Hungry…” Her voice lethargic, she scooted closer to Izuku and opened her mouth wide. Not fighting the act, Izuku let her take a bite out of his neck, blood seeping from the punctures and into Himi’s mouth. He could feel the blonde girl gulp them down, each gulp gaining more and more strength as he felt more of his...

Chapter 56: A Mother's Love

The sun rose from the horizon, the light filtering through the blinds. Izuku’s eyes twitched, a ray of sunshine directly hitting his face like a blanket. Letting out a deep breath, he scooted up, only to remain unmoving as he felt something restricting his movement.

Glancing downwards, he saw Himi with nary a piece of cloth preserving her dignity save for the blanket that covered her frame. It was like this every day, with the blond girl preferring to sleep in the buff while clinging ...

Chapter 42: Up the Wizard Lift

“Fucking dogs… I swear if I see any of them again in this godforsakan cemetery…” Izuku scowled, his hand gripping tight against the handle of his zweihander, the blade lodged inside a dog’s corpse.

“What’s your problem with dogs, anyway?” Katsuki questioned, his hands steaming from an earlier explosion he had wrought against a poor pupper. “I know they want to chew us to death, but they’re fucking easy compared to the other enemies we fight.”

“Easy?...

Chapter 55: Calm Darkness

After all was said and done, the Sports Festival concluded. Well, at least for the first years. After their portion of the Sports Festival concluded, Izuku and Class 1-A spent the next few days watching the upper years battle it out. It was kind of exciting, in a way.

Dozens of flashy Quirks were used, to the chagrin of other students that had less than glamorous Quirks. But they were vindicated the moment a second year managed to upset the favorite to win using his wits and tactical kn...

Chapter 41: Bottled Up

More undead hordes were met along the path, with Izuku and Katsuki decimating them whenever they got too close. It was beginning to get a bit bothersome, what with the unchanging scenery, the constant groans and their suicidal lunges, and worst of all, the chunks of flesh that splattered all over them whenever Katsuki blew one of them up to kingdom come.

They may be used to the stench and gore, but the feeling of uncleanliness affected both of them, Katsuki more so seeing as how he was ...

Chapter 40: Undead Horde

“The fuck were those things?” Katsuki pointed at the mangled body of what was once a puppet he had exploded into pieces. The crossbows it used were collateral from explosion radius, bits of wood and metal scattering around the floor.

“First time fighting those things?” Izuku’s amused grin didn’t help wonders for Katsuki’s increasingly irate mood. “I don’t know what they’re called, just know that they’re a pain in the ass.”

“Yeah, I saw that.” Katsuki gr...

Chapter 39: What Manner of Sorcery!?

It did, in fact, not take long. The knight was nowhere close to Darriwil’s skill or strength. And as a result, it had Izuku sifting through its corpse to see if there was anything worth of value. Of course, its armor was the first to go into Izuku’s bottomless box. The man underneath the armor looked like any regular dude you could find on the face of the earth. Next was his weapon, which was a duplicate of the one Darriwil was using, save for the fact that it was less sharp.

Chapter 38: Academy of Magic

It’s been a week since he’s returned to the Lands Between, and all Izuku could say was Limgrave definitely did change after he had wiped Godrick off the face of the earth.

After they had camped for the night the day Izuku had finished his ritual, the two set off back into the main continent via the tunnel they had passed through the day before, still cleared of any living being, most specifically, demi-humans.

From there, they made their way back to Liurnia – Izuku wan...

Chapter 37: Interpolation

Nezu was not having a fine day.

Just a few days prior, Midoriya along with his companions went missing. Of course, the rat was perfectly aware of what had taken them – their discussion the day they were grabbed from their plane of existence quite a foreshadowing thought.

What he didn’t expect was for Katsuki Bakugo, a student of his academy, to be within the vicinity when they were sucked into a portal – which by all means wasn’t visible to their eyes, nor their high-end e...

Chapter 36: Glorious Evolution

The trip up the hill wasn’t anything special. Their eyes caught herds of goats and their young grazing amongst the green hills, the sounds of their baa’s echoing through the landscape as they passed through.

Both Izuku and Katsuki remained silent with the trek uphill, the more experienced of the two feeling his heart thump against his chest. Katsuki, meanwhile, felt the ominous air radiating from the ruined church right at the top.

The closer they got, the more the two had the...

Chapter 35: The Last Stretch

After leaving the corpses, Izuku, Katsuki, and Torrent continued on their journey. As his spectral steed’s hooves clopped against the stone road, Izuku couldn’t help but think back to their aggressors earlier. They wore the standard equipment of those that served the late lord of Stormveil Castle, but their insignias, the tabards that they wore were gone.

Did that mean that the soldiers had rebelled once their lord no longer lived? Or was it something else?

Actually, now that ...

Chapter 34: Close to the Beginning

The sun had sunk beyond the horizon, darkness looming over the entire area. The wind hadn’t died down, and Izuku expected it to be roaring even until the morning. Their fire had to be protected from the rushing wind by building heaps of rocks around it.

Their tents had been fastened to the ground hard to ensure they didn’t go flying away because of the strong winds. As the howling wind gushed through the area, Izuku stayed close to the fire, the heat emanating from it a boon to the ...

The following fight between Tokoyami and Ashido was quite a fast-paced one. Izuku had already known that Tokoyami was going to emerge the winner, as Ashido, despite her proficiencies and strengths, had no answer to Dark Shadow’s unrelenting offense.

The pink girl couldn’t even get close without gaining a few scratches here and there. At least she managed to look cool during her fight, her breakdancing across the floor while making it slippery with acid was a sight to see. She did it...

Izuku grinned. Now that was something that got the heart racing.

Tokoyami’s fight against Shiozaki was something that no doubt got the crowd talking. Like, who wouldn’t? A plant conjurer versus a literal stand user, it was the stuff of anime legends, even if their reality is sometimes even stranger than fiction.

And to be honest, he was glad Tokoyami won. Whenever he looked at Shiozaki, his gut roiled in itself, and he knew why. He could feel the faith cascading down her every...

Izuku stomped through the hallways, the empty corridors echoing his footsteps. Despite the event being held in the giant stadium a short walk away from the main building, Nezu stayed in his office for the majority of the event. Unless his presence was required, one only needed to look for him in his office to have a chance of meeting him.

That is, if one could even set foot in this building that was completely off-limits to non-students or non-staff, much more so during this time where ...
