Pet Loss

Hi Friends,

Unfortunately I had to put my sweet baby girl Boo to rest today. She suddenly declined this week due to kidney failure. She was my best friend in the whole world and I am heartbroken. I knew that this was coming for a long time, and it was always something I deeply feared and dreaded. However, I know that it was the right thing to due because she was suffering at the end, so I feel relieved that she is at peace now.

I just wanted to ask you all for a little grace, as I'm sure this is going to impact my productivity and focus for a couple weeks.

You guys are always understanding with me, and I know you will tell me not to force myself to work. I won't force myself, but I do want to try to gently continue with my usual activities so that I don't spiral. I will listen to my body/emotions and put the work down as needed.

The comic will still be updated tomorrow because I finished the pages before things took a turn. However I think that this week's Lover reward will likely be delayed.

I returned from my vacation in one piece. Switzerland was beautiful.

I just received a message from Patreon about pricing changes in the near future. I'm not sure if you get these notifications as well, but I wanted to reach out regardless. It DOES NOT impact existing subscribers, only new subscribers. I'm making this post available to free members so they can be aware of the upcoming changes as well.

In NOVEMBER 2024, Apple is forcing Patreon to switch over to their in-app purchase system. The Apple Store will then apply a 30% fee to monthly Patreon subscriptions purchased through the Patreon iOS app. Apple applies this fee to all App Store purchases. Patreon has to comply otherwise Apple will remove the Patreon app from their App Store.

This will ONLY impact:

- APPLE IPHONE users who subscribe via the Patreon iOS app

- NEW Patreon subscribers (anyone who subscribes during November 2024 or later)

This will NOT impact:

- Android or web users

- Existing Patreon paid subscribers (anyone subscribed before November 2024)

I wanted to keep you informed because I think this might impact you if you tried to adjust your tier via the app. Also, I know some of you are seasonal supporters! I don't want you to cancel your subscription only to be surprised by a surprise price increase when you return. And of course this would impact you if you wanted to subscribe to other creators in the future.

THIS FEE CAN BE AVOIDED by iPhone users if you commit to using a web browser to subscribe to creators in the future.

Frankly Apple is disgusting me with their price gouging lately and I think I'll be switching to an android for my next phone. Unless Google follows suit 😭
