Nexus?

This is why I try to avoid dates, lol.

It is almost done, but with the issue last weekend of melting shit, and then limiting the 4090 use has slowed process a bit, and combined with that, Thirty Days is still the larger priority. 

So nexus 2.0 test will be out asap. but due to balancing priority's and this issues from last weekend. it is a little behind.. 

But to be fully transparent, a lot of it is from keeping Thirty Days the priority. over 75% percent of my time...

New Power supply

Had to order a new power supply. Should be here soon.

I've been trying to work with the 2,000 watt mining PSU I had, but anyone who's been in the same room as server PSU knows those things are LOUD.. like insanely loud. The fan on mining PSU's have no speed control so they run full speed the entire time.

Makes it rather difficult to work honestly, so working with the 4090 has been limited to basically running animations so I can leave the room while its running.  Trying to ge...

Day 5 dev log

Development is moving a long nicely.

Things are really going smoothly, no holdups.  Also have gone back, finished ava scene and going back and doing some cleanup and rendering better animations for early content in prep for steam.  

Steam page is going through aproval right now, should be live in a few days as long as there is no issues.. 

Also working on getting keys set up so anyone who has purchased the game on itch or is a subscriber can get access to the ...

So even throttling the 4090 to 70% power usage still caused this...

New adapter ordered, be here in the morning.

And I dug out the 2,000watt mining psu I had in a box. That thing is loud, but 16awg cables.

Nexus 2.0 Test this week

Thirty Days Dev log coming later this weekend.

Just wanted to drop a quick message and give something for everyone to look forward to this week.

Sometime between this weekend and next I will be posting a Nexus 2.0 Test for subscribers.  This test is to test all the new code in Nexus.

This will contain 1 full day of a story that uses the characters from Ghost Hunters/Quaranteen, Currently Untitled. Its working title is "Roomates".

Hard at work on day 5, getting a lot done.  Ran some early tests/experiments on some day 6 stuff, if I can get it all sorted out, and get working on it without slowing down day 5 main story, a choice based deviation may be coming to day 5, but to early to say at this point. and I won't allow it to delay day 5 main story.

Just wanted to share these.

Was working on setting up a scene for day 5 and thanks to the 4090 I am able to do these so much better.

Yes I am doing a bit of a crossover on these, The 4 on the left, The new characters for a new story in nexus, the 3 on the right are from ghost hunters/quaranteen.  and of course Kayla with both MC's in the middle.

Not much to say at the moment. Just worky worky worky.

Spryte and I have been working on the writing for the female route and getting alot of rendering for it done.

Male route is moving along nicely as well.

Still plugging away at nexus... One of the new stories, I am trying a dual perspective. Allowing you to play either the male or female character in it, but unlike Thirty Days, both characters are present so its a much easier process, and every image isn't first person so...

I know I havent said anything past couple weeks. Just been working on this trying to get it done.

This update has frustrated me due to the changes I made to the story, these are good changes, great changes. But the more and more i worked them in the more i needed to change/...

I swear I am not procrastinating. 

When I released the first half of day 4, it had 3,000 lines of code.. Currently I am at over 10,000 lines of code in total for day 4. and that's per path. so 60,000 lines of code and dialog in total across all paths.

I am really trying to get this out, i just suck at meeting my own deadlines, and the longer you are waiting, the more I want to make this day worth the wait.

Chapters and Image Resolution

I did really quick want to touch on a couple of things.

You may have noticed, most images referencing the game now say "Chapter One".

I did decide to 'end' chapter one with day 5, so day 6 is the start of chapter two.

This change is for a couple of reasons. 

Primary is this way PC client "chapters" are synced with mobile client "Chapters", and mobile HAS to split at day 5 due to android size limit.

So since I am working with valve for a steam release, I am now working on valve time, so in about 14 years you may get a VR prequel with alex....

Several rewrites, additional, and re rendered scenes later, Alex and Kayla brought out the whip to beat me with it. So I am finishing this current rewrite and telling my OCD to shut it. So this will be out to subscribers next week. will probably hold off on public for about a week just to make sure their is no major issu...

So unrelated to anything. 

I was having some fun with AI while waiting on renders because I have been a little curious..  If AI programs can generate images out of nothing. why can't it enhance 3d rendered images?

So I did some research. The way AI images generators work is it pretty much takes an image that just noise and de noises it until it can see what you told it should be seeing, generates some neat results.

Dev Log 1/10/23: Thirty Days Day 4 and 5 Progress.

Some things have been shifted.

Seeing that everyone mostly plays female route to have a different experience from male route, and with the addition of another writer to handle female route, I have decided to shift some things around.

Xmas/Nexus Fix

So not sure what happened, Animations stopped working in nexus, at least in the latest version of windows 11 that I know of for sure.  This effected the Xmas Special, Ghost Hunters, and Serenity goes to the movies.

I found a fix, had to do with how the webm files were referenced, which is odd because I reference them the exact same way in Thirty Days and thirty days still works fine... *Shrug*, but I will change the references for next release just so it doesn't become a problem. 2022-12-28 21:28:26 +0000 UTC View Post
