Redvault Gallery #11

Imgur wasn't working today for some reason, so I just loaded them all up here.

I tell you, I really do love drawing those dragon things. This particular dragon was especially fun. Kind of a damn shame they weren't more effective, really. Like, is it sick that I feel bad for these ancient military machines roaming earth for untold amounts of time only to meet their end after taking out only 3 martians? Bah, that's what they get I suppose, eh?

 The Martians of Redvault have come a long way to secure their place in the Long Night and now, after so long, their lasting happiness is at hand...

Redvault Gallery #10

Bunch of relatively toned-down pics this week, eh? Guess that's what happens when the horrors of the Long Night aren't actively attacking the martians. I enjoy being able to draw the same characters week after week and seeing how they evolve over time. Ougal growing up has been a fun thing to watch. Also, haven't been to strict on the clothing the individual martians have been wearing. I figure they change clothes frequently enough that it just makes sense. I mean, nobody wears the same cloth...

Redvault #10: Redvault Rising

Bursting through the flames, Redvault begins it's rise from the wreckage. Finally taking shape the martian stronghold's challenges become more nebulous in nature and things begins to look a lot less clear...

Jackalquest- A Dwarf Fortress Adventure

Just a little test here. I felt like making a mostly unedited video the other day, so this here is about 34 minutes of me playing an adventure mode character just for the fun of it. You'll have to lemme know what you think. I might do it more often if you guys dig it.

I was surprised, but not displeased with the amount of "Duke" drawings I got to do in this episode. Was nice figuring out what the beast's horrid face should look like.  Also strange to be drawing more of Gliti, the Site manager. I drew him as a side character initially but it looks like he might be getting drawn into the spotlight a bit. Fun when that happens to characters you don't expect. Here's hoping he doesn't get flame-roasted early into next episode, eh?

After the devastating dragon attack, can Redvault get back up on it's feet and continue with the New Age Red Vault Revitalization Project? Or will things only get worse for the hapless Martians?

8 episodes? Holy hell. I don't think it'll go thaaaaat much farther, but I guess we shall see. The hard thing with Dwarf fortress is that once you know what you're doing, a fort never really has to fall at all. Chances are that even in the worst fortress cataclysms you'll have at least a couple of dwarves left that can scrape up a new life. That being the case, It makes things hard when you're trying to make a semi-narrative story about it all! It'll be fine though. Got some new ideas in the ...

Red Vault Gallery #7

Woof, I don't know why I had such a hard time drawing this week. Normally that isn't such a problem but I really found myself struggling to stay focused. That spider thing didn't help I don't think. For whatever reason I had a particularly difficult time with it. Couple problems with it, too- it says "eyeless" in the description but apparently I just decided to skip that. Still really enjoying these pics. Had a lot of fun with the Hemaraj design specifically. Could totally imagine that thing wandering through this forgotten world. Would be nice to get our hands on some (functioning) guns eventually just so we can start blasting these damn things away, eh?
