Requesting Game Feedback

With Enter the Expansion Mansion now content complete, I wanted to make this post to collect feedback. Version 1.6.0 Release!!!

This is it! The testing is finished. The bugs are worked out (at least the ones I found). The game is now content complete. Future updates will be rare and focused on minor fixes that may crop up over time. Please feel free to continue commenting about typos and bugs. You guys have been a massive help in that regard. It would take me weeks of constant work to debug the entire game alone. I feel my time is better spent on the development/writing side after a point.

I'm currently working on the final bit of prose for the game. Once I'm finished, I'll spend today and tomorrow working on testing. I should be able to finish that pretty quickly.

2/27 Update

I was still having some minor personal health issues yesterday. The bad news is that meant I had to miss work. The good news is I had many extra hours to work on the game!

I got a ton of prose written for the ending, and I'm now down to one final decision tree, for which I need to crank out 5 new (relatively short) passages. Then it's on to debugging!

2/26 Roadmap

As I mentioned in my update, I was unable to finish the last ending this week. I did, however, make tons of progress on it. It's long. Like, really long.

To date, the big growth sequence with Meloni was the single longest segment of prose in the game. This is way longer. I really hope everyone enjoys it. It's pretty much 100% smut.

2/24 Update

It's looking like I might not be able to finish the final ending by Monday, though I plan to hit it heavy this weekend. There's a ton of prose going into this no holds barred insane ending. I want to ensure that those who go through the trouble of getting the "best" ending really get the BEST ending.

That said, debugging shouldn't take very long with this final area. There's a lot going on, but it's mostly self contained, so very minimal work on other areas should be needed.

Hey there, everyone!

Work on the final ending is still chugging along pretty well. It's turning out to be a good deal longer than I first expected, so it'll likely take me all week working at a heavy pace in order to make it happen, but certainly doable by my estimation.

It was a pretty normal week last week. Got to work on the game about as much as expected and I checked off the full list of tasks.

This week is a big one. There is only one task on the list this time.

I had hoped to get more done last week, but (fairly minor) health problems, work stuff, and a major increase in stuff I needed to do outside of game dev meant that I had pretty minimal time to devote. I spent the weekend busting my ass and have gotten close to the one third complete point with V1.6.0. The new area is added, and all but one of the interactive elements are finished. That last interactive element will include the new character stuff, and then there's the 3 new endings and sub-endings to contend with.

It's been a productive week. V1.5.2 has obviously been released, and I've spent my free time working hard on V1.6.0. I've already got the final area outlined, and the skeleton for the interactive elements is in place. I'm starting work on fleshing those out before I add in the final character of the game (shouldn't be hard to guess who it is).

Version 1.5.2 Release!

I've had a busy and productive day today. I've been working on the game pretty much non-stop for about 10 hours. And it was enough time to finalize the new Version release and give it a quick couple of tests to ensure the changes didn't break anything. (They did, of course, but I caught the problems.)

Commission Tier?

This is an idea I've been considering for a while, and it would, at minimum, be after finishing Enter the Expansion Mansion that I would consider implementing it.

I've considered creating a third Patron tier that would be something like $50/mo and limited to probably 1 Patron (at least at first). This tier would include the usual supporter access such as Version releases and polls, but it would also include a single, very short custom project just for the Patron. I would keep it limited...

With the winter weather still making things difficult, I have a good amount of extra time this week. As such, I've begun work on V1.5.2. Well, V1.5.0 is released to Patrons. I'm exhausted from a marathon writing weekend, so I'll be taking a few days to rest and relax before diving into V1.5.1.

Version 1.5.0 Release!

That's right, ya pervs! I'm coming at you with a surprise drop! I've had a very productive weekend, and all of the major work on V1.5.0 came together at long last.

As mentioned before, this is a rougher release than normal, so expect typos and minor bugs to show up.

Update 1/2

The last of the "bad ending" wishes is complete. There's now two endings that result in implied death, so choose wisely!

Next up will be the "standard" wishes. This includes also adding in the seventh and final of the regular expansion sequence for the wife. If all keeps going well, I'll be starting the testing later next week at my current pace.

Update 12/29

Well, I've officially finished more than half of the seventeen wishes that I'm putting into the game. Many of these are things I had always intended to include, and a couple are inspired by wishes suggested by Patrons some time ago.

Well, I lost a couple days due to some seasonal illness that snuck up on me. I still can't breathe through half my face...

Update: What have I done?

Well, this update may very well turn out to be a lesson in hubris... I just finished with setting up the skeleton of all the wishes (creating the links and passages and wording of the initial wishes, etc.). That leaves the coding and prose to do for each of them.
