Since I finished this pieces sooner than expected, I decided to experiment with it a little bit. But nothing too complicated either. :p
Since Betty Boop was originally a black and white cartoon, I decided to try a grayscale scale version and one that highlighted the dress like the ones I used too to back in the day. ^^

And even though Betty's skin color is unmistakably light, I do fancy the contrast the red has with BB's darker fur color!

I really like the songs and just how silly Robin Hood and Little John behave at the very beginning! XD

I think the decisive factor that marked a difference was the colors! :3
Robin has a very peculiar shade of red! That and also the colors from the original pallet of Sherwood forest complement such colors really well!
However, I still feel the background a bit weak... ^^"
I am not great at them, but the original take is beautiful! I will see what I can do. After all, shades still add a lot of details to the final piece.

So knowing that I already had this pose and, as I mentioned before, thinking darker outfits look better on Rose because of her skin tone, I started working on this!
