Rose's Background

Greetings, loves!

The shading is not part of this version yet, but I wanted to ask you about the background.

I tried having something more cozy, but I just couldn't make it work. ^^"
So I tried something simpler. But I ended up making a lot. xD

For as much as I like them all, I believe I will only keep three of them, but do let me know if you happen to have a favourite of your own among them!

By the way, the third version, the circle one, is meant to only feat...

I think I forgot to mention that I didn't ask for an outfit this time around, not only because I wanted to redraw Rose altogether from the original concept, but also because I was still trying to figure out the way wool will work. ^^"

I mean, regarding how much of it will actually show and how will it work with any kind of underwear?

I remember that long ago, when someone saw the Flour Pawlace uniform for the first time they thought it was a hotel uniform. XD

And, well, now that I see Rose, specifically with the car keys...I might understand why that happened. ^^"

It does make me wonder how often do sheep need to shear their wool? Or, as mentioned before, if they do it at all? xD

Not only showing how confident she feels in herself, but also to point out the job she has at the Flour Pawlace. ^^

She is in charge of the delivery service!
Even though remarkably skilled on a motorcycle, thanks to her boss' concern, she often drives a minivan around Savannah Central. :3

You see, I investigated within the art of Zootopia book and within the movie itself and the truth is (or at least seems to be) that sheep do seem to have their full body covered in wool in this world.

Which made me wonder about if they even use underwear. I mean, there might be a special kind of garments for them or maybe they don't have any. ^^"

I remember the exact moment while watching this scene when I just told myself: This would look so adorable with Nick and Judy! xD

I mean, Nick taking the role of another con artist just as sassy and with a heart as big as his own. And Judy the role of an independent woman that craves to fulfil her dreams despite what the world keeps telling her.

It just felt like a perfect match!

I won't lie, I might have ended up having a lot more fun than I should have with only seeing the voting progression! xD

It was oddly exciting! There was a lot of changes and moments where the winner wasn't clear! And where there were multiple second places. :p

I mean, I wasn't sure if I preferred having both scenes separated as individual pieces or together.

It was only until I saw the individual versions stacked above each other that I decided to leave them in this comic-like version.

So, funny story, while I was trying to watch a romantic comedy movie in order to find inspiration for a Valentine's day piece, Youtube just didn't get along with Zoom. xD

It is not uncommon either whenever those two are required to watch a movie...^^"

But, long story short, we ended up watching another movie that didn't have that problem. And I felt inspired by that one instead!

New Spicy Character Piece

As I mentioned on the Discord server, I want to give this little experiment a try!

I'll explain it briefly:
I didn't want to have too many characters since it will be an individual piece.
The characters were selected based on experience drawing them, interesting challenges, suggestions and ownership.

Now the rules are as follows:
- Everyone has 5 points to spend however you like! You can use all 5 of them in one single char...

Among the suggestions I got, one of them was actually free of any garments. So that is what I did...

And once again, I thought the previous background could work for it. So in the end I only needed to work on a couple instead of four. And it was a lot quicker. :3

And, truth to be told, if the story behind the garment that was shared with me is true, I fail to see how this made it any better... XD

But I digress. I think using this anywhere aside from a bedroom would definitely attract some attention; which is probably the idea, but thinking about the background I already had...well... Honestly, I find this one already very uncomfortable to wear for it to be...

I mean, this one would definitely look odd anywhere but near the beach or a pool, but as I mentioned in the previous post, the beach seemed perfect not only for this one but for the Daisy Dukes as well. :p

I was thinking about a barn background. Probably would have made more sense, but I thought one background for each version would have been a bit too much and I would have taken a lot longer... ^^"

I mean, I believe "Daisy Dukes" has been here for a while, and I think it is actually based on the outfit a character by that name usually wore on a T.V. series?
At least that is my understanding. She made it popular, hence the outfit got the name.

You know I am not much for explicit details when it comes to nudity.

The truth is, however, and you might have noticed by now, that whenever I work on a sketch, even if the final piece will have garments on, I work with just the body.
Mostly to have the most faithful path as to where certain parts of the body will be given the pose even if they won't be noticeable in the final result.

So, as you may have noticed, I changed the direction in which Judy is looking.
I had the oddest struggle with them. I just didn't feel comfortable with the first version. I still don't know exactly why... ^^"

So I decided to change it and now I do feel like she might be looking directly at Nick!

Also, festive colors for the box and the ribbons!
And for the present card, I decided to use those names because I thought about how would Judy call herse...
