UPDATE: Returning in May

Hey everybody!

How is everyone? Really, How are ya? Let me know in the comments or feel free to private message me. 

A break from my artistic responsibilities has done me good. I'm ready to get back to it and start posting again. That said, I'm gonna be traveling a lot in April, so I will return in May so that  my travels don't interfere with posting. Like the previous 2 months, you will not be charged for April.

Reboot Required

Hey Everyone,

The month of January has been chaotic and I've taken a few hard knocks. 

I've just received news that the series of videos that I've been working on for you guys will not be edited within the time frame I planned. The first set of videos were to be posted next week. I've been really excited to share this project with you guys. I have no words for how much this delay saddens me.  Working on this project demanded so much of my time, I haven't worked on any other art projects this month. So, I am overwhelmed with disappointment that I have no art and no videos to show for all of my hard work in the last 2 months. 

I initially dedicated this year to a year of "Do-Overs." Though, I feel like that theme still fits, a more fitting theme right now is "Back to Basics." 

I need a reboot. So, I'm taking a break. I'm freezing my patreon for a while. During this time you will not be charged for your patronage. 

I will return rested, refreshed, and with art. Thank you guys for all of your much appreciated support. I love you guys.

New Cereal Monster (Fan Art) ...What flavor should she be?

I'm finishing up a series of  monster-themed fan art pieces.. Because I hate horror as a genre, I took my inspiration from monsters that were a little more my flava (pun intended). 

In 1971, General Mills introduced monster-inspired cereals, Franken Berry and Count Chocula. They followed up with Boo Berry in 1973 and Fruit Brute in 1974. Fourteen years later they completed the series with Yummy Mummy in 1988.

I'm all for a sausage fest, but for the sake of fan art and inclusivity, I'm gonna give Fankenberry a colorful swingin bride! I need your help, though. 

What flavor should she be? My initial thoughts are flavors that complement Franken Berry's strawberryness like Banana or chocolate, but is there anything that doesn't go with strawberries? I mean I had strawberry gelato with a balsamic vinaigrette once and it was surprisingly yum. So what are your thoughts? What flavor would drive you to eat her up? Also, what would you name her? "Bride Berry" is the most obvious to me, but I feel like we can come up with something better if we put our heads together. 

I plan to post a colored version of her on Halloween, so get your ideas in before then.

JimBobDrawingShow Drawing Prompt: "Disorganized Psychic"

This week's JimBobsDrawingShow on Instagram drew the prompts "disorganized" and "psychic."  I've been trying to keep these exercises to 1 hour or less. I spent about 3 on this one. There's much I would have cleaned up and added, but time to move on to my real projects.

Inktober 2020 - Day 5: "Blade" SFW

Every time I train triceps at the gym, I think of Wesley Snipes as Blade. He would always land in a pose and flick his wrist that gave his tricep that extra flex.

Byron Power's Homoween Art Challenge: Day 4 "Devilishly Handsome"

Artist, Byron Power, hosts an annual art challenge called Homoween. Much like the other October art challenges such as Inktober and Drawlloween, the challenge gives daily prompts to inspire artwork. I won't be participating in all of them but I will when time allows. I was a little late to see today's prompt, so I repurposed an old piece from 2010  for the "devilishly handsome" category.

Introducing Weekly Vlogs!

Hey Everybody!

I'm going to start posting regular vlog post. Because I don't post as often as I'd like, I wanna give you all an insight into what I'm working on. That way, when it looks like I'm not working - you can see that I'm very much working. I'll also be sharing what I'm currently into. It's my hope this will create more interaction with you guys. So, by all means lemme know what you guys are into. I wanna know. It will inspire more artworks. 

The Witcher

Ever since the debut of The Witcher series on Netflix, I've been obsessed with all things Witcher! 

The series sated all of my needs for something new in the fantasy genre. I started reading the books and am currently on the latest of the series. They do not disappoint! I highly recommend them to any of you who need an escape into a fantasy world of swords and sorcery.

Happy Father's Day to all of those incredible dads out there!

This started as just a sketch, but I decided to finish it for Father's Day. I hope all of the fathers out there who make their role in their childrens lives a high priority are feeling LOTS of love today.
