I'm super fond of the next few pages, I hope you guys will like them too. There's almost no dialogue and I tried really hard to convey what they're both feeling with just the visuals. We shall see if I was successful.

Also, poor Elka. She wanted to go play action hero but instead got stuck rescuing Quigley. Sorry, baby, we'll give you something better to do later.

If you'll recall, Masek's last surviving nephew there has been holding on to the self-destruct instructions he and his cousins nabbed from Lori's safe. It's been a bit of a Chekov's gun, and it's now been inevitably fired. We'll have to see what the full ramifications are considering what the Chief said the nature of the spell was.

...At least Toma and the giant cute dog got out!

In case you were wondering, Ricker and most of these soldiers are not natives of the Temple of Song - the Temple that Duane served at. Duane only recognised the three battlewrights on the roof, and one of them, him. For as much as Duane dunked on his old students, the Temple of Song still has the best spellwrights of all of Alderode's Ssaelit forces - thanks to the lingering influence of their old Spellmaster, Duane might boast.

I saw a few people predict this and kudos to you if you were one of them. Those three behind the door were the men that Duane sent down from the roof. Of course he couldn't have known they'd do this, but maybe Duane should stop acting like he can control reality through will alone - not that that isn't a common misconception among spellwrights~

Three new pages today! The "selvage" is what pilots call the very fringe of the khert, and the highest point that their mount can fly. An area out of range of pymaric ranged attacks but also a very bumpy ride.
