Work in Progress

This is the most weathered airplane I have ever made, probably.

I think I can finish this one 2-3 days, I'll edit the clips and upload the video next week.

Work in Progress

So painting has begun.

I am doing pre-highlighting and shadowing.

A very focus demanding process, but I love the effect.

Let's see how it goes.

Work in Progress

I am working on the wings now. Riveting, making the engine mount etc.

I think I can move on to painting next week if there is no trouble.

And I forgot to tell you guys that I am making 'Swamp Ghost.'

I upload the image of the actual plane.

Work in Progress.

I did some assembling and riveting and the nose.

Big plane has many many rivets, so repetitive, but I love the effect.

I also did the nose. It is a DIY part because it is very hard to make broken nose with kit's clear part.

The glass part on the nose is made of UV resin, the frame is 0.2mm plastic sheet.

Tirpitz Part 19

Now I can see the end. Although it will still take some time.

What a long journey.

Work in Progress

All the hard parts are done, making skeleton structure can be pain in the butt.

I am dry fitting to check the fitting of scratch build parts.

All seems good.

Now I'll convert this B-17 F to B-17 E.

I unmasked my Tirpitz.

Now I'll correct some defects on the paint and start weathering.

While working with Tirpitz,

I decided to make B-17 wreck after I watched 'the Masters of the Air.'

My original plan was making SBD Dauntless, but I postponed it for the next project.

I just upload the video of Nikonov's submarine,

I hope you guys like the video.

I'll be back with next project.

Work Complete.

Nikonov's Submarine is done.

I had a lot of fun by making it, like trying new wood painting method, putting big barrel into the epoxy resin, sculpting drift wood, etc.

I'll start to edit the clips tomorrow.

I hope you guys like it.

Now fishes are in the place.

It took longer than I thought, and now it is ready for the epoxy resin.

Pouring epoxy resin always makes me nervous, wish me luck.

I've been working on the base.

I add some rotting driftwood, hoping for making comparison between the fresh and well polished wood on the submarine and the rotting wood on the bottom.

And it is time to put some fishes.

I think I can pour the resin next week.

Work in Progress.

I am now painting fishes.

I sculpted and painted sturgeons and brown trouts.

I'll also paint cat fishes soon.

When I have little bit of time, I do some side project.

One of them is modeling an airplane engine.

I am making this one for my SBD Dauntless.

The submarine is almost done.

I tried this newly learned method involving inks, and it is really satisfying.

I used AK16001, AK16010, and AK16012 inks.

The submarine had been printed and I am painting wood.

I am trying new painting wood method I'd learned recently, I hope it goes well.

Diorama - Scharnhorst's Last Stand

The Battle of the North Cape trilogy dioramas are done.

I tried some experimental methods on them.

I'd learned a lot from trying them, and I think there's some room for improvement.

Anyway, I hope you guys like it, I'll come back with next project.

New Project.

Scharnhorst diorama is almost done.

While working on Scharnhorst, this is one of the side projects I've been working on.

The First Russian Submarine. (18th C)

I came across this thing some years ago and I thought this is very interesting, and I am finally ready to make it.

Work in Progress

I put some figures on the deck.

Some of them are trying to put out the fire on the A turret and the hanger.

I think this diorama will be done next week.

I am printing crews now and they will be on board soon.

The Lunar New Year is coming soon, I have to prepare to make a sacrifice to my ancestors and it will take 2-3 days.

I hope you guys be well.

Now I am working on sailors and officers on Scharnhorst.

They have low polygon due to the scale.

I'll do some more postures.

Diorama - Sinking of Kursk (Epoxy Resin, LED)

It is finally done, somehow I had some trouble at very last moment like severed electric cable in Kursk, spilling water on my SD card reader, my photo studio light bulb not working, etc.

Anyway, I hope you guys like it.

and I'll continue other works in progress.

Epoxy resin is poured and I am waiting for curing.

While waiting, I am working on the base of Scharnhorst.

I am trying something new on the sides of the base.

Now the submarine is ready for the epoxy work.

I am praying that the epoxy work goes as planned.

Wish me luck.

The painting is done.

I want to make it very weathered.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, their ships were very poorly maintained if not neglected.

I want to express the poor maintenance by very heavy weathering.

Work in Progress

I am now working on 2 different things.

One is for Scharnhorst and the other one is the infamous submarine disaster.

Zvezda's plastic is very very stiff, it's just simply broken when I tried to bend.

So I glue more bendable plastic around the damaged area.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!

Diorama Making - Battleship Sailing on Stormy Sea.

HMS Duke of York at the North Cape.

I tried some experimental technics like lightning, frost, and funnel smoke.

Those technic are very rough, I need to develop more to make them right.

Anyway, it is not completely satisfactory, I did my best to deliver this video.

I hope you guys like it.

Work Almost Done.

I tried the lightening effect.

Not as bright as I planed, but it is good enough I guess.

I hope you guys like it. =)

I'll edit the clips and upload the video as soon as I can.

I put some snow and frost effects on HMS Duke of York.

And she is sailing on a rough sea.

Now I am going to do the sea foam and some smoke from the funnels.

I probably can finish next week, but not sure yet.
