This unit appears to be real, in that it does put out a swept ultrasonic sound.
Whether it actually has an effect seems to be considered controversial.

This actually worked better than expected. It does require a 3D printer, but the inserts are so fast to print that you may be able to bribe a friend to make you some.
It's basically a couple of customisable insert designs that can be recessed into wood so you have points of light that are flush with the surface like pinball score and gameplay indicators.

I contacted Sure and they said they couldn't see the router from their end. They suggested a full router reset, and it fixed the problem.
I was kinda hoping for a higher upload speed than 20Mbit, but it's already made a huge difference to the video upload time.

This is an RF connected system for starting and stopping a race or obstacle course timer.

The construction reflects the fact that this is a very specialist device hand-made in small volumes. It came well packed in a pelican case.
I did subsequently neutralise the electrolyte on the contacts with vinegar before washing them and cleaning the met...

Not being much of a fisherman I can't tell you how effective an underwater light is at attracting fish at night.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDKDt8N_hnQ
Let me know if this technique does actually work.
At the very least it must be visually quite attractive with the coloured glow under the water, and fish roaming around it.

This took longer than expected to get going.
But it did - and that's the main thing.

Stuff like this makes me feel a bit squeamish. This is a surgeons pen that uses RF energy to cut and simultaneously seal flesh so that surgery can be performed with minimal blood invasion.
This video is just the pen and not the RF power supply. I'd guess the RF energy source is likely to be like a scaled up cold cathode power supply.

Yeah, I know. Another ionic video - but I'll be back to other non-ionic stuff in the next one.
I think this is eBay biggest ion module, unless you've seen a bigger one?

This is definitely in the category of well made junk. It has so many design flaws and technical issues that I think it may be a very bad copy of another product.

I'm not going to let that resetting issue beat me. It's like a puzzle that must be solved. Although I have a feeling that it may be due to bad setting of the microcontrollers re...

By request, a picture of the unexpectedly small incoming fibre optic unit.
The black and white cable is the outer black reinforced overhead tube with the white inner fibre sleeve. The excess/spare fibre is figure-eighted at the back of the unit.
The black cable is a plug-in power supply.
The red cable is a data cable.
The stuff on the left is my old ADSL line.

Here's the new front plate with different words and correct spelling. So you don't mix them up, the PCBs are as follows:-
ozone1 is the main needle panel.
ozone2 is the original misspelt atmoshperic invigorator front.
ozone3 is the new molecular disruptor front.

The first stream going out on fibre optic.
No download speed improvement from the old copper ADSL, but the 20Mbps upload is a huge improvement.

A safer version of the dangleberry light, with PCB to accommodate the resistors and a convenient USB connector.

This project also has a 3D printable case, but it can also be sleeved with heat shrink sleeve, wrapped with tape or just put in a standard box.

The fibre is now on the wall and the associated equipment will be installed tomorrow if all goes to plan.
Not sure what effect that will have on streams yet, but it should hopefully make uploading videos a lot faster.

I may also change the text to something more sinister for extra drama, like "molecular disruptor".

You don't really need to know a lot about switch mode power supplies to repair most faults.
The components most stressed in these power supplies are the output diode and capacitor, as they both deal with fairly high current at high frequency, and that results in much hotter running than old-skool power supplies that only had to deal with 100/120Hz ripple current.

A cheap clone of a fashionable LuminAID solar light that is shipped as a very compact package and then inflated to create the full diffuser.

This version is the cost-cutting minimalist version. It actually earns extra points for using a salvaged battery.

Nice construction, but completely unrepairable due to the way the glass has been sealed in.
On a plus note, the aggressive sealing means that this light has survived years on a commercial fishing boat on the storm-ravaged Irish Sea.

It does work as an air cooler/humidifier though, and would make a good base for fan based projects.

While scouring aliexpress for weird modules I found these, and since they looked different to normal ion modules I bought a couple and de-potted one to reverse engineer the circuitry.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERTaantiY6c
One of the most remarkable things about this high voltage module is that it only uses about 17mA at 12V.
I did subsequently de-pot the other unit with loads of emitter...
