Island of Bunny

My Easter render for 2018! I decided to go with something more beach themed for this year. I'm even happier with how this turned out compared to Her Chocolate Bunny, as it captures an even warmer and more sunny atmosphere!

In this world, bunnies have a strict policy on humans: Keep them in your belly at all times! This bunny is doing the right thing: That person may not get to see the sunny shores, but they're in a safe and happy place which is all that matters.

The lovely bunny is Judy ...

April status update

Since a few things are happening at once this month, here is a status update on what there is to look forward to this April.

First off, I will be sharing the promised art source pack during the upcoming weeks. Special thanks go to one of my patrons, who adapted their pledge to help me meet the 400$ goal this April as my pledges to continued to decrease. Like I said in my announcement on the matter: The art source post will be exclusive to the 10$ tier for a while, however I'll be setting it to...

Her Chocolate Bunny - Quantum CPU render

I decided to do a re-render of last year's Easter scene. Initially I was going to make something crazy for April Fools instead, but unfortunately I didn't find any more time for that. And don't worry: The normal Easter render for this year is on its way, this is an unrelated project.

The reason I rendered this again is that a lot of new features have been added to Blender 2.79, such as the denoiser and Filmic filter; Since this is one of my best renders to date, I wanted to see how it would lo...

Art source release announcement

Two months ago I announced new ongoing goals as part of an overhaul for my Patreon page. As a reminder, the new rules are as follows: While I'm over 400$, I'll be additionally uploading art and animation sources for Gimp and Blender... and while I'm over 600$, I will be offering whole game demos for small games if they aren't already hosted on a public Git repository.

This month I prepared the first reward for the 400$ goal: I will be posting the sources of all my recent art, ranging from 2013...

Vore Tournament - Voreception Update

Today I'm happy to bring you a very fun change for Vore Tournament, which will be available in version 2.0.1 upon its release. It's the first time this feature is ever implemented, it has never existed in either the old VT nor the new 2.0 mod. Some of you might remember this funny little code comment from way back:

// don't allow voreception (a player inside a player inside another player)

That comment has now been changed, and so has the reality behind it: Voreception is now possible an...

OHRRPGCE ClubNova Textbox editor

Just a screenshot of my progress on Club Nova: One of the OHRRPGCE games I've felt most drawn to work on as of recent. Figured I'd make one as I'm really loving the new menus added to OHR, they're one of the best changes I've seen in the engine recently! Sadly the dialogues appear obfuscated in the previews due to the lines being concatenated, given I use spaces at the beginning to make each line of text avoid the portrait.

Remember that I now have a 600$ target: Once I reach it, I'll be relea...

My initiative for a decentralized web

I'm still trying to take my mind off the shit that went down those past couple of days, which just now seems to be dying down at last. I'm not yet in the mood to work on anything honestly, but I should have a few good things before the end of the month so don't worry. Till then I figured I'd put up one of the questions I had planned for my watchers and Patreon supporters, which I've been interested in hearing your opinions of ever since the idea came up. This should give us something less depres...

Taking a few days to recover after new incident

First of all, I have to inform everyone of a potential delay in new content. It shouldn't be too long so don't worry: Hopefully only a few days or at most two weeks. I had some things planned for the next couple of days, however I'm currently not in a state to work on them and present them. I apologize and I hope you understand. Expect those updates in the second half of this month none the less!

Now for the reason. Yesterday I was involved in something I would classify as a rare occurrence: I...

Internet purgatory

Your dose of free internet humor for the day. Had this idea in my head for some days now, so why the heck not? Haven't drawn landscapes in a while, and as usual artivism provided the motivation!

Best played with a dice and a pack of recreational weed. Hint: Don't go to the right... you never go to the right.

The state of open-source hardware

I am a great fan of open-source software and have been for over a decade now. Recently I've been asking myself a few questions, regarding the state of FOSS and how much of it we truly get to rely on in our everyday lives. Note that this post will be a bit long, and might require a good understanding of hardware and firmware in general (I'm not above average at this chapter myself).

Many of us choose to install and use open software for various activities: Some of us have a FOSS operating syste...

Vore Tournament - February 2018 development update

Thanks to the support I've recently gotten back on Patreon, I felt motivated to start working on Vore Tournament again. Things were a little dusty as several changes broke several things while I was away, but I got everything back on track with some help from the Xonotic crew. During the last few days I managed to fix the other half of the bug list, leaving only a few things left to do! Here is what changed this month:

  • Updated the code to compile and work against the latest version of Xo...

A worldwide movement to undermine the open internet?

I've recently been pondering a pretty scary theory, yet one that's looking more likely by the day. If my belief is correct, I couldn't stress the urgency of sounding the alarm as quickly as possible and asking everyone to spread the word about this. I know I'm going to sound like a conspiracy theorist here, but people need to be aware of this possibility.

I'm slowly growing certain that what's been happening to the web recently may be part of a worldwide initiative to undermine the open intern...

Bathroom camera track bonus 2

A bonus image from the camera track I shared previously for the 5$ tier. Those are the markers I used on my bathtub to do the tracking. I took pieces of black duct tape which I cut off into little squares and attached them at various distances across the tub walls. Despite my phone camera being blurry in dark areas, Blender had almost no problem picking up those black dots against the white background.

Bathroom camera track bonus 1

A bonus image from the camera track I shared previously for the 5$ tier. It showcases only the water, with a Suzanne head submerged for testing reflection and refraction effects. The water and monkey head are CGI, only the scene and empty bathtub are real footage.

I'm done waiting for Godot

Yes the pun had to be done, and you'll hear it a lot in this community. I've been excited about this engine for a long time now: As an open source game developer, Godot has been on my waiting list for quite a while.

https://godotengine.org

So, what is Godot? For those who haven't heard of it before: Godot is a game engine and development toolkit, similar to Unity or Unreal Engine. The important difference is that unlike thos...

Rent debt fully payed, huge thank you

So here is some positive news for a change. Over the past few months and years, I've dealt with enough disappointment to stop believing that anything good could ever be possible for me again... yet something amazing and unexpected recently happened, that I really wouldn't have anticipated and didn't see coming.

After posting a photo roughly two weeks ago, showing my apartment on the public debt list of our block, several people jumped in to help. One of them made the amazing donation of 500$, ...

New Patreon goals: Art / render sources & game demos

I've finished the last major Patreon change I had planned for the month. I was going to work on better descriptions as well, but found myself too busy to have the time for that one. Next month I should have new sneak peak screenshots of yet more projects, as well as a status update on my situation once I'm sure everything is clear.

My Patreon now has two ongoing goals, meaning their rewards are offered for as long as the goal remains reached: While I'm over 400$, I'll be additionally uploading...

Why I need your support...

I wasn't sure whether or not I should post this. On one side, I didn't want to come off as whining for money... on the other side, it seemed fair I'd offer proof of my situation after explaining it in my journals.

Patreon situation update, plans for January

I'll start with a quick situation update: For reasons still unknown to me, I continue losing more and more patrons each month. I'm down from $400 to almost $200 at this point. Part of me wants to say "fuck it" at this stage and stop even trying, as it seems nothing I do matters to anyone. This hasn't yet happened so don't worry... slowly but surely I continue working on various projects which I'll hopefully have sneak peaks of soon. All in all, me and my mother are at the point where we'll no lo...

I'm not referring just to the fact that they decided to delay the service fee changes, which is in and of itself a wonderful thing! PayPal account fixed, planning Patreon changes

To start off: The issue with PayPal was FINALLY resolved today, after nearly 3 months of struggling with the verification process. It's definitely a relief to see all warnings and limitation lists erased, and have just been able to withdraw the money frozen in my account to pay some of my overdue rent.

The help came from an unlikely source: I received my Patreon payout through the card I have with Payoneer (a bank and payment processor similar to PayPal). Payoneer offers the option to download...

My take on the new Patreon service fee

Last night Patreon announced changes to how their service fees are going to be processed, informing us that as of 18 December patrons will pay a fee of 2.9% + 0.35$ of each pledge they make. The idea is to transfer a bit of the burden to supporters, so that in exchange creators can take home more of the money they receive on Patreon.

My opinion in a nutshell: The general idea is a fair and good one, and I actually quite welcome it! However, as was quickly pointed out by a lot of people, it doe...

PayPal continues its mockery, rejects any ID for no reason

Several more weeks have passed. During this time, PayPal has been silently rejecting every document I was submitting... neither the account interface nor any email notifications informing me that it was happening and PP wanted me to submit yet more documents. Even at this very moment, I don't know which of the latest documents are either rejected or yet to be reviewed. I have submitted nearly 10 files in total for address verification... each one mockingly rejected after the other for reasons I ...
