My work laptop is fine! I REPEAT, FOR NOW MY WORK LAPTOP IS FINE!
The miracle of positive thinking and coherent actions were able to revive it. Mentally I was fully prepared to just give up, break a few piggie banks and buy a new one, but at least now I can more carefully and patiently plan out my change of work system later in 2022 - maybe a tiny PC box, or a monoblock desktop.
