Hey peeps, sorry for the lack of posts lately. I've been trying my best to catch up on things and as luck would have it I got Covid last week and I'm slowly recovering so I've been taking some time off. Lowpoly Prop: Arcade Cabinet!!

Hey everyone! The Arcade Cabinet is done!! I shamelessly themed it after myself and Dooper but if you guys want to customize the textures to create your own it should be easy enough with an image editor. 

The model comes with an animated screen of 4 frames of animation, again feel free to replace this if you like! Also it's rigged to an armature so the joysticks do have the ability to wiggle around if you used the bones.

Little Update

Hey friends, I'm in the process of finishing the arcade cabinet and editing the final tutorial for the lowpoly avatars! This next one will cover the unity setup. I threw out my back this week so I took a few days off to rest, but I'll have some things for you guys very soon!

Vox F-Zero Machine

I've been playing a lot of F-Zero 99 lately, and I realized it would be incredibly easy to adapt my ship and owl into that universe, so I designed a race machine after myself.

I'll probably model this at some point but idk when. 

Lowpoly Arcade Cabinet

I'm so glad you guys voted on this prop for this month, I love arcades. Also I was trying to decide on what kind of game to make this cabinet of and I think I'm going to make it a "Beat 'em Up" similar to the TMNT games or Double Dragon, those were always my favorite. If I'm feeling extra ambitions I'm going to make it have an animated game screen, but we'll see what I can do. Whatcha think?!

Patreon Changes

Hey peeps!! After running the patreon for a few months I'm starting to learn my limits, that being said I can't keep up with creating an exclusive avatar every month for you guys. 

Additionally, I think the $50 tier is a bit much for many and I want my avatars to be more accessible. So what I'll be changing is that the $50 tier is staying, but it doesn't really offer any extra benefit that I can think of right now (maybe something later) right now it's just for those of you who REA...

So Retro-PC was voted on the most for this month's lowpoly prop, so I decided to make the old Macintosh Plus! It doesn't look like much now, but it'll come alive after I texture it.

Alright, so as I said in my previous update there was a few color choices that were more popular than others so I weighed in my own opinion and picked my favorite out of the top 3. So I'm going to go with this!! 

I've started modeling, but it's going slow with everything else I got going on haha. 

Status update for July

Hi everyone!! First of all I wanted to apologize if things seemed quiet on here, I have a lot of stuff to talk share.

Sad news first, this past month my grandfather passed away at 100 years old which is why I wasn't online much. I was out of town for a week visiting family and helping them with things.

Good news, I'm almost done with our first lowpoly avatar for the patreon supporters, and the tutorial series is almost complete as well!! I'll be uploading the texturing portion of ...

Lowpoly Avatar Tutorial Pt. 3: Rigging

Well we made it past the modeling portion of the tutorial, time to put some bones in this!! In this video I show you how I rig meshes to armatures. I hope this video is clear and easy to follow for you guys.

Noka is rigged!!

Progress on Noka has taken me a bit longer than usual, probably due to the fact that I'm using her as my tutorial piece. But she is now rigged, which means the next section of my tutorial series for rigging will be live very soon!!

When she is complete, she will be the first lowpoly avatar for those in Tier 4 to download and use for streaming and vrchat.
