MoZ Ch 17 Commentary

There are parts of this chapter I wasn’t incredibly happy with, and as the long delay probably says for me, parts that I really struggled to get written. Especially that scene in the tavern, with all those people swarming Louise, I felt like I didn’t know what Shirou should do or how he should react. Well, nothing to do about it, now.

Some of you may have noticed the absence of a crowning ceremony for Henrietta, and there’s a reason for that: Louise didn’t attend. You might think thatâ...

MoZ Ch 17

It's here .

The notification goes out a bit late, here, but I honestly forgot about it in the mess of trying to get the word out everywhere I'm listed.

Normally, I might've given Patrons timed exclusivity, but it's been a long time, for one, and for another, I'm a bit worried about the legalities of everything...

Ahem. Anyway, Patreon has never been...

New Banner: Coming Soon

As a heads up, I'm planning on updating my banner in the near future. This updated banner will, I intend, cover both avenues of my work: fanfiction and original.

Normally, patrons would get exclusivity for a week, but since the plan is to update the banner here and on my twitter page simultaneously, that won't be a thing. Too, I can't exactly make my banner an exclusive thing, can I?

As for when, exactly, this change will occur, I don't know. It won't go up until I'm satis...

A Finely Honed Blade Cover

A project I did for Ensou and her story, A Finely Honed Blade

Ordinarily, patrons would get this sort of thing first and hold exclusivity for a week, but since I was doing this for Ensou, that wasn't an option.

More versions, including earlier drafts, can be found on my deviantart  page and my twitter  feed. ...

He Who Saw the Deep

Don't let his apparent age fool you. He's dangerous.

There's a reason why I can't use Gilgamesh as the protagonist of a story. Even in the Eternityverse, he's head and shoulders the most powerful.

L'Avenir de la Pucelle

Yeah, this would've been posted ages ago...if only I could have decided on a layout that I found satisfying.

It's a little basic, but, nothing for it, I guess.

Miracle of Zero: Kingdom of the Forsaken Vol. 1

So, I've been sitting on this for a while, mostly because I thought I might make some edits somewhere along the line, but since that hasn't happened, I might as well just post it.

As promised, one week exclusivity. Then, it's out in the wild.

A ghastly demon of blood and black,

And with his mounting horror undecreased,

A headless rider astride its back."

Sleepy Hollow Testimonials: Seward Bradley

Testimonial Three: Seward Bradley I made certain not to eat too heavily at lunch — if my investigations took a turn darker than I anticipated, then I may be revisiting it later — in part because of the stares and whispers that accompanied me into the tavern. The local townsfolk made no secret their curiosity or, in some cases, their disdain. I was, to some, a peculiarity to be gawked at, and to others, an outsider whose mere presence was a stain upon their community. Consequently, I ate sw...

Sleepy Hollow Testimonials: Baltus Van Tassel

Testimonial Two: Baltus Van Tassel Shortly after my interview with Van Ripper, I realized the faux pas I had committed by seeking other testimony before speaking with my host and sought to rectify it. Immediately, I made my way back through town and onto the sprawling Van Tassel farmstead. I knocked politely on the front door and waited patiently for a few moments until Baltus Van Tassel opened it, the large bald patch atop his head shining in the midday sun. "Ah, Mister Crane! Welcome back! A...

Sleepy Hollow Testimonials: Hans Van Ripper

Testimonial One: Hans Van Ripper After settling in at Sleepy Hollow, I began my investigation into the ghost I had been called to exorcise — the most important lesson I had learnt as a Watchman in training was to know and understand my target, to know where and how to attack it, and I did not intend to abandon that lesson on my first assignment as a fully-fledged member of the Night Watch. I began my investigation by interviewing Hans Van Ripper, a choleric old farmer with whom I had been br...

By the Light of the Stars

"Time?"

Jeremiah's watch was back out momentarily, ticking impossibly loudly in the quiet.

"Nine minutes from the hour."

"The Horseman will be here shortly," Julius told them. He looked to his companions. "Alphonse."

"Ja."

Alphonse the German swung the rifle off of his shoulder and set the butt on the ground, then reached into a pouch slung from his belt and pulled out a little round ball. In the light...
