Blackberry Jam!!

We are so excited to have a ton of blackberry bushes around us, I mean seriously there are a ton! 😋

Here is the recipe I used for my blackberry Jam.

5 cups Blackberries

1 Tbsp Lemon juice

2 cups coconut sugar

* Add blackberries, sugar, and lemon juice to a saucepan. Be sure there are several inches of head space for foam.

Sustainably Harvesting

Jake and I are using, milling & preserving our own wood. We are starting our loft in the yurt and we are so excited to use our own wood from our back yard. 💜

Nicole and I are gearing up for phase 2 of our off grid life. Phase 2 will include building a garden and fruit tree orchard, getting off grid flowing water, installing a bathroom/shower, and learning/sharing more of the edible native plants/mushrooms which grow in our area.

Jake and I took a break from building our yurt platform to collect some seaweed. We are using the seaweed for our raised beds and to make some delicious seaweed salad. 😋
