* Support for ZIP compressed content & OGG audio. DVVR is now able to load content directly from zip packages. You can now compress your models & motions into zip packages and DVVR will be able to load them just fine without needing to unpackage first. Quick access menu

This is a preview of the upcoming "quick access menus". Through these menus you'll be able to access commonly used features without going into the full UI. This should make it a lot easier and quicker to perform common tasks. It will be available in the 0.8.3 release next month.

Are we interested in a mobile version?

While testing a build for Oculus Quest, we realized that the same apk actually runs on an ordinary Android phone with totally playable fps and all features working almost flawlessly.

Bone mapper development progress

The bone mapper will allow you to use XPS models that have unknown bone structures. This should open doors for a lot more models to use in DVVR.   

Here is a quick demo of the usage. 

The bones that are marked (!) are required while the rest are optional. In this demo I'm only mapping the required ones so that the video doesn't get too long but in reality you should try to map every bone for the best result.

Raytracing is taking shape

Most of the issues have been addressed. We should be able to release our first DXR build this month. This will be available for the Supporters tier. 


Mind you that you'll need to have hardware that supports DXR(DirectX Raytracing) to be able to run it. Plus VR and Raytracing don't agree with each other so you won't be able to run this in VR for the foreseeable future.

Auto Dance 2 Demo

Forget the auto dance in 0.7.2, here comes iteration 2!  


It now listens to music, slows down when the music quiets down, and intensifies when the music gets louder.  

It also comes with much better hand control with an auto hand motion.

[NSFW] Demo of new procedural animation

The animation in those videos are dynamically generated using only music beats timing & random numbers as input, no VMD motion is used. So this will work with any music you can find and it is perfectly smooth. 

This should be available in the next release.
