Goodies update

Happy New, everybody!

Update on the goodies idea I had a while back. Pins and stickers (As well as posters for the last 2 tiers) could be a thing! Pins for sure but I'll need to see the quality of the other stuff. I'd want them to look like the picture above.

While King would rather stay at the castle all day, he does try to follow Adeleine when she goes outside to paint. He knows it doesn't bother her to be alone, yet he can't help but notice the painter feels lonely sometimes.

Even though Adeleine and King both won't admit it, they do enjoy eachother's company. Adeleine is the perfect sidekick for King and he is a fun guardian for Adeleine to mess with.

KG7 December progress

This month has been the month of light and shadow effects. I've been playing around with Flash's feature a lot more, allowing me to have some nice looking shots.

The episode is 87% completed, I'm aiming to start the last scene on the 27th. If I manage to do it, it'll mean my average time to complete a scene for this series is around 30 days which is rather fast for me. I definitely got much faster at animating since the old Flash 3 days.

Just a little idea I had while taking a small break. I don't know if I'll ever complete it but I like how they look in this!

Extra Moon picture + New Twitch overlay

I spent the last 8 days working on a new overlay and 2 new alerts for my Twitch channel. I also made a profile picture specifically for Twitch. I'm still planning on working on the one I shared last week but after this Twitch makeover, I need a break from animating those things.

That served as a break from KG. I'm ready to get back to it after a long week of alerts! Only 1 and a half scenes left! I'm planning on streaming more real soon, hopefully my laptop can handle the new changes......

KG_Walkies

I don't know what was on my tea this week but I'm feeling very productive. 

I spent about 3 hours on this walk cycle. Not too bad, I'll add a blink in there to make it more natural. There's another walk cycle in this episode that I'm considering fixing once the animation of the episode is entirely done.

KG7 sneak peek

It is currently 80% completed! I have only 2 scenes and the soundtrack for this episode left to do! I'd be happy to have it done by February but we will have to wait and see.

This is what I have been working on this week. I also thought about using a "transition screen" for a while and decided that this scene would be perfect for it.

Necky and Moon sketches

Quick sketches of Necky and Moon Satanus including their "Casual", "High Class" and "Satanus" outfits. I need to draw edgy characters every once in a while.

New Twitch emotes

I got new emote slots a couple of days ago so I spent the entire day making some.

Half of the emotes are still pending, which makes sense considering so many affiliates are currently uploading new ones. I hope you enjoy the new Kataklysm emotes! (I'm getting used to the Satastrikes' new names.)

New profile picture idea + New Moon design

Over the last few month, I've been adding a lot of info to my IRÔH! bible and decided to update some things after 13 years. This included the names of the Satanus children and design of the Satanus parents.

Working on the next scene! + Goodies idea

I'm on a 5-day weekend so I can get a lot of work done much faster! I've started the next scene this Wednesday (Sketching process only) and the actual animation yestarday. More Adeleine! I want her to be intimidating and towering despite her soft and squishy face. It's still the best combo to me and no one can tell me otherwise. The first picture's shading is a test, I don't think this is how she's gonna look but I'll see what I can do to make it close enough.

KG October progress

I've been pretty silent this month but I really wanted to finish this scene before my break. And I did, kind of. I just need to add sound effects, special effects and particles and it'll be completed.

Once this is done, only 3 scenes left! Really happy to be starting the next one soon!

CautiousOne run!

3 hours later and it's now finished! This shot has 5 other characters running but CautiousOne has the most frames so I started with him since I was in the zone. Now It's almost 2 but at least I'll have much less to make tomorrow. I'm really liking this one.

56% completion!

That's 10% in one month. I have my usual Halloween break from my job on the 25th so I'll have an entire week at home to rest and work on this. I'll also make sure I have some days off on December to speed up the process but I'm hoping to have this scene done before the 18th of this month.

Ather this scene (that is almost halfway done), there will only be 3 left! I also plan on streaming next week.

Some frames from the next scene I'm working on. I sketched it all on Saturday but I've been sick since Sunday and only got back to it today and finished the animation from the shot the first picture is from. I'm feeling better but I still want to prioritize getting good hours of sleep. That being said, it feels good to be able to draw again without feeling like a saggy, overheating slug.

Misty Ado + New part update

Starting another part today! This will be very effects and particles heavy but it'll be super fun to make! I can't wait, I'm currently still writing the scenes and all that but I should be done by tonight. It will be the most important part of the episode so I'll make sure it looks and sound great.

I'll just go grab a drink real quick lol

2/4 parts done!

I just finished another full part made that I started on the 25th of August. One month later and the episode is halfway done. (The extra % are for the backgrounds and sound effects I've worked on already)

It's taking a looooong time for Swivel to export this scene in 4K sinces there are a ton of effects here: The mist, 2 layers of blurred steam, a blurry and shiny copy of Adeleine on each frame to give that "misty" effect... I'm taking that time to enjoy a movie and eat.

50% completion, close to 52%!

Episode 7 is halfway there! it only took 3 month to do 20% and I hope the process will keep going this quickly. I know 2 months sounds like a long time but when you animate, 2 months is very short. (And goes by too fast.)

This scene here is nearly done, I just have to animate Adeleine moving around, posing. I could do that in 2 days. After that, on to the one scene.

A preview of what I'll be adding to the TV in the background of the latest scene I worked on.

I decided Adeleine could be listening to a concert or music video so I put an old song of mine, "Heated Argument" in the background, re-exported with nothing but the drums and another version with only the guitar. I then put those versions in this Flash file so I can animate them. The red highlights appearing on the drums was to help me animate the Waddle dee.

Another scene finished!

And it's done! I have 5 scenes left to animate before the episode is completed (minus the music, I keep that for last). I have 3 backups of everything, just in case Windows 11 shows up in October and shits on my cereals by deleting random files.

I can't believe I'm almost there. I was really excited to work on this story arc for over a year now. And I'm getting better at backgrounds too! Enjoy some Adeleines!

KG7 Update!

Episode 7 is 46% completed. I spent the entire week on the scene this picture is from. It's definitely my proudest scene ever made so far, after 13 years of animating. I love going back and comparing my older stuff with my current work. The past may be butt-clenching to look at but it's good to remember where we came from.

Another scene

These scenes are really quick to make, it's a nice change. I will also share this exact same frame later when I'm done with this entire scene. The colour corrections and lighting will make it look so much better. I sketched this scene on Sunday and I think it should be finished exactly one week later.

Now that the longest part is 100% done, I have 3 scenes left. This one I'm starting will be super short, so hopefully I can finish the animation for this one by the end of September.

I can't believe I'm almost halfway there! Also, thank you so much for supporting my creations.

Some doodles I made back in January last year before the creation of the first episode.

I never finished them since they were just quick doodles to get a better idea of this new project.

Fun fact: The first sketch was the inspiration for Comic number 4 where The Company, playfully thinking they can reach their mother's height, are hit by the harsh reality that Adeleine will always be bigger than them.
