What the heck - just call this a really early posting for Sunday morning!

What I'm working on at this very moment.

One good thing about finally figuring out the free vs. paid posts on Patreon, is that I can put up stuff like the sketch here, without busting my kind patron's budgets. This one's from a current project, "Gran'pa Jack", issue #9. Check out www.jpfo.org for previous issues.

Welp, all the minicomix perks are mailed off to the patrons for whom I have shipping addresses. Please let me know when they show up - or if they don't. I don't want to leave anyone out!

No, I don't believe there IS a good time for a horde of the living dead to come after you.

I just wanted to shout a huge, shining, glitter-bedecked THANK YOU to all the patrons who slipped me a little something, after I confessed to my "free vs. paid" screw-up yesterday. Worth as much, if not more, than the money are the feels generated by your generosity. There's people out there that like me enough to just give me a portion of their wages, that they no doubt earned thru blood-tinged sweat. It makes me feel all gooshy and happy inside. How often do you get news that RAISES your ...

Whoops! Karno gets nothing!

Yeah, so yesterday, my roof literally caved in. The mess has been cleaned up, and the roof's been temporarily waterproofed. But fixing the roof permanently is gonna be really expensive. Good thing my Patreon payout was due! .... Which turned out to be a big, fat zero. This came as a shock - I've been really counting on that money. So I went and checked my Patreon settings. It seems that the default setting for Patreon creation postings is "free". You have to change the setting every time you...

Gah. Insomnia again. Why is my body/brain doing this to me? But at least that means Monday's page gets posted good and early!

Sunday Funnies present "The Size of it".

This is the story I'm working on right now. Ahhh, good clean (well, actually, it gets naughty later on) tongue-in-cheek fun, whatever happened to it? And while I'm on here: Should I start posting color comix here on Sundays? As a callback to the classic "Sunday Funnies" of the newspapers? Color "printing" costs the same as black and white on the Internet, so why not take advantage of that?

Huh. I was awake half the night. I should have taken advantage of my insomnia to post today's strip way early in the morning. Oh well - there will (alas) be more such chances, I'm sure.

Where's the addresses?

OK, I'm getting ready to snail-mail my patrons the minicomic I've been promising them. Or trying to, anyway. Patreon FAQ sez: "If you select the "view all current patrons" tab or select any paid post you can click the "show" button right next to the mailing address header. If you're trying to copy and paste all of your patron's mailing addresses it will be easiest to download a CSV. The mailing addresses will be included in that download!" There is no "show" button, anywhere I can find, let ...

Argh! This should have been posted at 7 AM today, not PM. And I can't even come up with an entertaining excuse for my lateness. It's been a long, hot day.

OK, got it up at a decent hour in the morning. Bleh. I have never been, nor shall I ever be, a morning person.

FUN control, page two.

I hope to sleep late on Sunday (Ask me about my week - oyyyyy!), so once again I'm posting Sunday's page on Saturday night: As promised, the second page of "Fun Control".

It's hard to resist getting ahead of myself. I may start uploading more often?

Gotta find a way to post these earlier. Maybe when I go to bed the previous day?

Yeah, this is posted late. I've been fighting Cox Cable for days, trying to get them to deliver even a fraction of the internet service they promise - and charge me in full for. I can only hope and pray this page uploads at all.

I got Bambi-eyed into working at my day job on Sunday for a "Cyclovia" event, so just to be on the safe side, I'm posting the "What's Karno up to this Sunday" on Saturday night. The sketches you saw last Sunday have become real comix pages! Page two next week.

A rough sketch I drew this very morning. This is how my comix look in the idea stage. Eventually, this thumbnail script will become a fully inked and lettered two-page comic screed.

Where three sewers meet.

I've decided to use the Sunday slot to upload what's new with me: Projects, rants, sketches, whatever I got going on right then. An artblog, of sorts. This first time, it's a quick sketch I did to preserve a line of dialouge I liked: The place where three sewers meet is a foul one....

It was just suggested to me that I switch to per-month patronage, rather than per work. That's a fair enough criticism, since I plan to be posting four pages a week - 16 pages a month. But I feel the per work rate is a better bulwark against laziness - I don't get paid unless I deliver. And don't forget - patrons can limit their contribution to a certain amount per month - or pledge less than a dollar per page. That said, I might switch to per-month patronage, if it seems it would really mak...
