November 2015 Updates

We finally shot a new Half in the Bag today. We discuss one very good movie and one...other movie. We'll get to editing on that right after the holiday. It'll still be a little while before the Max episode of Best of the Worst is wrapped up, but it'll definitely be worth it! Oh and Krampus comes out soon! Lots to look forward to!

A Conversation with Max Landis

Hey, all! We know there's been a lull in videos the last couple of weeks, so thanks for being patient. We were shooting several videos, editing, and finalizing all the materials for the Space Cop blu-ray and digital release. But here's our interview with Max Landis, and there'll be several more videos coming out in the next few weeks.

Triple Pic!

Three tease shots of the movies from our next BOTW that I'm editing. Some of you figured out the third film because Jay forgot to censor it. Oh that Susan! I mean Jay!

As some of you may have seen on our Twitter, we just had Max Landis in town. We shot an interview with him as well as a Best of the Worst where, during the plot synopsis of one of the films, Rich Evans had me laughing so hard that I was physically in pain. 

We've just started editing both these videos. As I'm sure we've said before, Best of the Worst episodes are pretty complicated and time consuming to edit, but stay tuned. Good times!

Pre-Rec: Steam Controller

I'm going through Space Cop and reformatting the shot compositions for the inevitable 4:3 VHS version. The proper aspect ratio for the movie is 2.35:1, which is pretty widescreen and as I butcher all these shots, I'm being reminded of how many movies I discovered and grew up with on VHS, so far removed from how they're actually supposed to look. I was trying to find a clip online of the VHS version of the elevator scene in Ghostbusters (right before they fight Slimer), since that one always stoo...

Sc Update

We recently recorded our commentary track for Space Cop, which was tricky because there was an overwhelming amount to talk about. Outtake reel has been edited. Deleted Scenes reel has been compiled. Pretty much nothing left to do but ship it off to the blu ray replicator (it will be available digitally as well of course). Pretty crazy to have nothing left to do.

Halloween Best of the Worst Update

Hacking away at the Halloween Best of the Worst. It features spooky tiny skeletons, witches, slashers, and Gene Simmons. The discussion was loooong and there's been a lot to sift through, which has been time consuming, but despite our joke about it only MAYBE being done by Halloween in the last update video, it definitely will be up later this week. Boo!

And here it is, our second October commentary track! Everyone's talking about those Star Wars right now, so we decided to revisit the black sheep of the original series, Return of the Jedi. We'll be posting an ad for this and the Nightmare on Elm Street commentary soon, but we're letting you guys know about it first. As always, send us a PM on here for a free download code. October 2015 Updates

We recorded a new commentary track recently that will be available really soon for Nightmare on Elm Street (the original). We're also talking about maybe doing another commentary track to release simultaneously. Not going to say what that one is yet!

We'll also be shooting our Halloween Best of the Worst really soon. We're working on building a set for that right now.

And finally, Space Cop update! We've been recording and mixing the ADR, but still need to get a couple of our act...

Half in the Bag: 2015 Re-cap (So Far)

Mike and Jay continue to sit on Mt. Everest as they discuss a bunch of movies they’ve seen so far this year that they haven’t discussed already.

Also we are now serving coffee...

VHS disc

So this was the tape that we melted with the acetone. We pulled it out of the bottom of the jar and amazingly it was back to a solid form. A VHS disc! We're going to see if it'll still play.
