Here's the first of the vote-chosen bonus pieces for the month: Rey and BB-8! I've had this particular (physically improbable) idea in my head for a while now, so it was fun to have an excuse to finally draw it.

The first of March's backer-chosen bonus pieces is done! Voters decided this month's Gertrude pin-up should have a "ninja fitness workout" theme. I am... not entirely sure what a ninja mafia fitness workout entails, but it looks like they probably go through a lot of punching bags.
The other big winner this month was Sam and Fuzzy dressed as "infamously terrible 90s gaming mascots". I just have to decide which mascots! Any suggestions? I'm partial to Bubsy.

This month, I've been busy finishing my second pin-up art ebook. (It should be coming out later this week. Yay!)
Here's a peek at how the cover came together. I took the unusual (for me) step of penciling it twice -- first on physical paper, then a second time digitally, tracing/refining the two characters separately so that I could fuss around with exactly how I placed them in relation to one another. Here's an in-progress peek at a Sam and Fuzzy/Smash Bros mash-up piece I've been working on lately. The concept is a bit of a Pandora's box... there are so many characters from both series, the possibilities are endless! (Or at least enough to keep me busy for a long, long time.) Our current flashback story isn't just an excuse to revisit the "Classic" versions of characters like Sam, Fuzzy, and Fridge. It's also a chance to see what some modern-era characters -- who never actually appeared in the original Classic strips -- were like when they were a little younger!
