It was fun drawing her, but I feel like I could have drawn her better. There's something I can't put my finger on that I would change if I were to draw her again. This happens every time I draw a new character. The first drawing are just experiments on what works and doesn't. You can also see in the psd file that I changed her head size hahaha

This picture was a roller coaster. It started off easy to draw, then I hit a wall in the anatomy, then it got fun again, then it got difficult and then it worked out in the end and was fun once again! You will see the process in the upcoming timelapse of the picture haha!

February is done! I honestly think it's scare how quick time flies... In addition to that I'm drowning in writing my bachelorspaper and exam paper at the same time @.@ Trying to set aside time for writing while also getting sucked into video games AND setting aside time to draw. It's not funny to make compromises, and you often feel drained. I think having a looser approach to art this month has been healthier for me, considering it takes alot less time to finish a picture. You know, sometime...

This picture was so much fun to do! Just letting yourself sketch, color it, and shade it really takes away the pressure of making in look perfect, you can instead play with shapes and form. I am a lover of lineart, but I find myself often too strict with how the lines should look. This is a refreshing change for me :)

Here's this month's timelapse! Was a relaxing picture to do and everything about this image came very easy to me.  Sometimes you forget that you don't always have to fight against the picture for it to look good, sometimes you have good art days. If you see during the video, I put down the main idea and shape first, afterwards I take reference photos of myself and use them to finish the poses and get correct anatomy!

Lately I've been a bit busy and art has taken a side line, but oddly enough this has made me more relaxed with how I draw. The two most recent drawing have more looser and sketchier lineart (that's easier on my wrist) and a much faster coloring style. I'm usually a big fan of line weight, but I really like this style approach too, it's a bit softer!

The one and only king! I was very happy with the background of this one! I often chicken out on making a background, but getting out of your comfort zone is such a nice thing when it works out in the end! <3

I love so many of the characters in Genshin but these two have me in a choke hold! (Especially Beidou) I love their designs so much and happy to have them in my party! The only sadness is that there's not enough official content of with the two of them.

Tutorial//Low effort shading

This is a tutorial on how I shade ina very quick way! Note that this shading method is not how proper clothes are shaded. Shiny leather-like textiles and materials have more of a shine like this, but I use it very generally. Since this is not a "realistic" way to shade I recommend to also observe in photographs how clothing truly looks like when light hits it. BUT, if you want to test out this method...

This picture started off as a big struggle, I never managed to nail down the anatomy. Luckily everything worked out in the end and I had a blast playing with the different colors and textured highlights!

I'm in a constant loop of "oh I can draw faces easily now" and "I forgot how to hold a pen". This was one of the latter experiences, but with the power of references I succeeded. On a later note, I would have removed some of the lighting, like the cyan one on the left. Think too much is going on. Oh well! I had fun!

Ever since Da4 was announced forever years ago I created Rhea as my DA4 OC. Since then she's been in development. Originally she was in an all black outfit with baggy jeans BUT that outfit looks bland in comparison to other characters and I think more vibrant colors will make her stand out more! I ended the year with a BANG, cause oh lord I haven't drawn this much in a month since I can't remember. This also marks the end of the year. Both of these pictures was drawing made in the moment (strong preference on how Kaeya's ended up) I tried out a somewhat different drawing style with Zhongli. It's worked out better in the picture of Tessa and Kat I made earlier this month, not so much with this image. Maybe because I didn't have a clear idea in mind. The Kaeya turned out great though! Putting the two images together in one post so I don't spam people's inboxes too much

Can you believe this took only two days from start to finish?? I feel like I've improved alot in drawing characters this year, especially if I compare it with the previous sixfanart challenges I've done. Maybe not as visible for you guys, but for me I noticed a huge difference in time and execution. I think I also was in a very good art groove when I drew it, which improved the quality of the art!

Tutorial//hair

Here is a renewed hair tutorial which is a bit more in depth than the previous one I did! I also recommend looking at photographs to see how hair works while also trying to remember the main traits of what defines the hair you study. That way you can remember it and simplify it to fit your own style! Hopefully this will be of some help to you guys!

I think I'm finally managing to draw without meeting too much resistance, which is a relief when you have motivation to draw. I asked twitter if they wanted any genshin characters drawn and Kaeya was requested. I love his design, though coloring any of the genshin characters are such a struggle (so many colors and details lol) Really happy with the outcome though!
