Started exploring, very roughly, some masks, capes, and hoods but me and some of us in the Discord server felt it looked too Star Wars-y, which we are very much trying to avoid. Then we looked at ponchos and I think this feels better and closer to the aesthetic.

Made some more progress and tweaks to this iteration. The name of the game is figuring out a stealthy design, but still takes elements from the Combine's brutish/eastern bloc/riot cop style armour. In this, the Combine are progressively more "fucked up" as you go up the ranks, becoming more and more synth like, so designing some body-mods, such as camo, body temp regulator, etc is in mind. Still noodling with details as the full fit comes together.

Happy bday to a very important game in my life. HLA reminded me of my love for games and game art and why i do what i do. HL as a series has been super influential growing up and very formative in my art and style later on. So medically, everything is good beside some ocular migraines but it's much more manageable and im a lot less stressed than before. This definitely helps me feel more confident in doing work.

quick ink of a photo from my Pinterest folders before work! I'm working on a small resolution than normal (72 DPI vs 300 DPI normally) to try to simplify, so the images are tiny here.
