I have issues with symmetry, so I always pattern half of whatever Im doing an flip it. It saves materials, time, and contributes to better symmetry when done right. Here is a little trick I do when I mirror a piece.
First I tape the piece where its going to be mirrored onto a piece of paper and then flip it and trace. Then cut out and you have a complete piece. I only do this on places that can be combined.

I am currently not responding in a timely manner due to megaplex crunch time. I have fallen behind and will get back to everyone when I get home. We recently hired on a new team member so we are needing extra funding from this convention to be able to afford the transition.

Okay this probably doesn't seem like much but this is by far the best tool I've found recently. A lot of makers used a straight blade for various things, but I have found this one to be the best because it has a little tiny handle so you don't cut up your fingers by mistake.

Here is how I add my magnets to the face of my suits. This keeps the suits from having weird bumps where the magnets should be.
It also allows me to shape the eye a bit easier.
For my face plate I used thin EVA /craft foam. You can find this at any hobby store in the chdrens section!

So many ask how I make my lip.
1. Glue the liner over the fur and pin or hold
2. Glue down the silicone lip (I'll make a tutorial for how to make these later bur you can also buy them from dream vision creations)
3. Stitch the edge if the fabric around the silicone down
4. Glue down a thin strip of felt around all of it for that extra clean finish.
Make sure you're using good Glue. I have a guide to gluesticks in an earlier post :)
