Tip: Making Side Bangs quickly and easily

I will do a more indepth tutorial for hair in the future but Ive been asked about this man here and how I did his bangs. This one's actually one I made in 5 seconds with a scrap piece as a magnetic extra. And it's actually one flat piece with both sides brushed on the backing. Tutorial: Using Polyfil to create digitigrade padding

I've never seen anyone post about this. But by far the cheapest method I have found to create digitigrade padded shapes is using Polyfil stuffing inside bags. Upholstery foam can be very expensive.

Tip: Shine up your Noses

A little trick to make hard noses extra shiny is use this stuff. Learned this from the 2 mechanics that work here, Monty and Tiny. Be careful not to get it on the fur though!!

Tip: Smoothing out bases

You can use these syraight razors to make your base less chonky.  The only downside is that it's pretty difficult not to harm your fingers in the process so be ultra careful.

Use scissors first and then go over with one of the blade. As shown in the picture!

Lots of fun with this one. Went back to an older style similar to an old suit named Toku.

Lokis bodysuit was some of our best patterning work and I'm proud of that!

Tip: Overlocking Stitch for stronger seams!

Make sure the length is set to S1 in order to unlock this cool stitch. This is a good stitch to go over your seams later if you do not have access to a Serger. This may not be the most professional thing. But it will keep your seams from coming undone on body suits!!

Tip: Patterning Methods

I often get questions about how I transfer patterns to fur. I have a few tips.

1. if you dont want any sign of marking, then use washable ink and then wash the fur after sewing. I rarely do this, as I dont believe in hiding my patterning. Its just an extra thing.

2. I use a thick sharpie to get the perfect amount of seam allowance for me. This is just enough to work with without it being too much imo.

3.Tick marks are your friend! make many and don't forget to transfer...

Materials #5 Airbrush for Beginners

I consider myself to be a super baby beginner airbrusher. This airbrush has given me the least amount of trouble. I picked this up with a compressor at Hobby Lobby for about $80. It is the only airbrush I have ever had that does not clog. It is also nice because its very portable.

You 100% must clean your airbrush after each use and buy airbrush cleaner.

Tip: Using Foil as a filler for patterning

Im going to try to add more content like this even though of feels super silly to post little things like this....

This trick is one of the most useful I've discovered and I don't see it mentioned ever. You can use aluminum foil as a way to fill in extra space in patterns.

I use it to add ankles to plantigrade suits, fill I'm extra space on the neck, and add to the back of the...
