Busy month, life changes, next steps

So the last month was very adventurous for me. I've moved to a different city in Germany (Lübeck), got a new Job (Application Management Mobile Solutions) and there were some other personal changes as well. This sadly left little time to sit down and do filter related stuff.

However, now after a month I'm back in action. The new league is upon us (Release: 8th December) and it's time to intensify work on the next batch of features and improvements to the filter and filterblade.

NeverSink's itemfilter - version 6.34 - Mid-League Economy and Polishing Update

A new stable version :)

  • Retiered all uniques
  • Retiered all divination cards
  • Fossils have received a new bottom tier. This tier currently contains 3 fossil: Abberant, Frigid, Scorched. These still have the highest fontsize, but don't have a beam and don't get a dropsound. These fossils are hidden on uber-plus-strict

Delve: Beam and Icon Strategy

I wanted to give you guys a preview of how I'm implementing beams and icons in the filter.

First of all filterblade is fully equipped to allow modifying and applying them. So if you want to get rid of the icons/sounds go to filterblade->style.

We had to rework the UI a bit to allow changing them, but I think it should be just as easy to use.

Delve Filter Update Timeline + Features

Hey guys,

The Delve league is upon us and we're going deep. I'll be releasing an updated filter featuring all those neat features GGG has announced over the past week:

- Beams

- Map Icons

- Optionally Custom Sounds

On top of that there will be some improvements to the leveling algorithm, tierlist improvements, the usual polishing and all the new Delve stuff.

A small beta filterblade feature

We're currently working on a small sidebar for filterblade. That'll include things like: 

- Copy paste palette

- Bookmarks in the customizer

- Customizer Search.

The search is already implemented on the beta version of filterblade ( http://beta.filterblade.xyz/ ) and can be found by opening the site and going to customizer on the right side of the screen :)

Draft: Upcoming filter update changes!

These are the upcoming changes for the next filter/filterblade update in a few days :)

Filter changes:

  • 1) New Feature: Currency divination card tier
  • 2) New Feature: Multibase unique split into league specific and multibase
  • 3) New Feature: Entry for 25%+ qual rares that drop from the temple. 
  • 4) Adjustment: 6S items dont show rarity. Currently all 6S show as white bases (except uniques)

Upcoming updates: The filter, filterblade and Me!

Filters: There will be a filter update designed for the flashback league in a few days. Just wanted to let you guys know. It'll come with a quite big bunch of changes. It currently looks like it'll have 15++ different categories of changes (for instance one category is "introduce a new currency divination card tier", that'll obviously include a lot of other changes too).

Identified Trouble

With 3.0 GGG has added the ability to filter magic/rare items by mods. This system is a godsend and a curse combined.

It's a fairly simple system.

You can list one or multiple suffixes and the filter will highlight an item with AT LEAST ONE item in the list (OR connection). You can also add multiple lines to one ruleset. Each line needs to be satisfied. This is an AND connection. 

Example:

HasExplicitMod C D

New Filter Version: 6.1

Hey guys, yesterday night I've published a new filter version. I recommend grabbing that update. Some of you likely noticed that the economy (especially softcore) is very volatile in this league.

This patch adjusts the filter to capture the current Zeitgeist of PoE and also adds a lot of polish. Smooth and better incursion integration and colors, double-sound fix and vaal-map highlight are some examples.

New Styles!

Hey guys,

the latest filter release included 2 new styles:

- Velvet

- Vaal
