Originally this page and the last one were going be a double spread (like the jump sequence earlier), but I decided to divide it into two pages so I could have a NICE, BIGG, JUUUUUIICY PULL-OUT, like PWOW, baby! All right, one more time! I really wanted to be satisfied with this shot, so I went ahead and drew it again.
The last one didn’t feel right to me, because I realized that initially it started out as an X-Ray shot, and then I tried to turn it into an internal shot, but the perspectives didn’t match. No matter. Let’s just redraw again it from scratch!
This time the action is a little easier to read, and the feeling is a little more intense...

Call me crazy, but after sleeping on it, I’m still not satisfied with my previous attempts at the internal shot. Today I woke up and realized something. There are two different ways to depict this kind of thing. One is an X-Ray shot. That’s where we see what’s going on inside, from the outside point of view. The other is a true internal shot. This is where we see what’s going on inside, from the inside. And for this to work, you have to get CLOSE.

All right, so for the big climax I really wanted to show *both* character enjoying themselves in the heat of the moment. After some exhaustive research, and some mind-blowing revelations about the human reproductive system, I realized that the way I had draw the previous internal shot was totally wrong. I decided that it wasn't good enough, so I took the liberty to reenvision, and redraw the panel.

Man, I struggled with this one (I hope it doesn't show!). Still not sure I'm entire happy with the layout, but I guess I learned a valuable lesson in dialog placement. Just a quick update to Pg 69. I needed to change (and add) some dialog to better match the upcoming page (also Marvin needed his handcuff). There are quite a few differences now between the pages and the original script, but that was expected from the get-go. Anyways, the added dialog makes things a touch spicier and will provide a better bridge to page 70 - speaking of which, should be coming right up any minute!

And here's a preview of the line work! As you can see, the sketch tends to be pretty accurate before I start going over it with lines. There's a solidity I crave that comes along with accuracy, and trying to find that sweet spot tends to take up most of my time when drawing. As I previously mentioned... I'm a little disappointed in the lack of motion here, but I think some speed lines and sound effects will more than make up for it.

No WiPs from this one... because honestly, it was just a tedious page (classroom scenes are just...ugh), but we'll have some rowdy sex scenes coming up soon as Marvin and Sharlene start to heat up! So there will be some nice sketches as the planning process gets underway. I have a particularly fun pose, and some improvised dialog coming up for you next!
