Introduction to Archaeomancy Ruins! (FREE)

Observation Bog (Free!)

What better way to study magic than to see it in action? At the Observation Bog, students have the opportunity to sit in the safety of the observation huts and look at all the various oozes and magical plant life go about their weird lives.

This one took FOREVER! Mainly because it's so big that my computer just kept on freezing whilst doing it! It's huge, and so looks a bit naff zoomed out, but zoomed in it's alright.

I'm already thinking of revisiting this map. I think if I opened this in another program like GIMP/Photoshop I could really look into enhancing the colours or adding extra lights and shadow.

This was by far the most difficult map I've done to date - so much open space and I wanted to avoid tree cover as much as possible!

Mage Arena - Demonstration Grounds

Time to show off your spells in head-to-head duels in an arena with differing terrain - or maybe this is the perfect location for professors of the arcane arts to teach and test students!

Magical University Café

Behind the Stacks

Inspired by the opening fight to Strixhaven, I came up with a map suitable to run any library fight.

Map is 24x24 (1680x1680 pixels) squares at 70 pixels each.

Jungle Ravine at Night

Wanted something for an ambush encounter in-case the players lost at my homebrew journey mini-game (keep your eyes peeled for that!) and so I whipped this up.

The fun part about making this map was the different levels of depth. I think the transparent trees as an overlay really evoke the feeling of the jungles' canopy blocking out any light at all.

Attached are the gridded and ungridded versions.

Each square on the grid is 70 pixels and the map is 1820x1540 pixels
