Some things have to go wrong. But it was all fun and laughs.
For some of the engine bay shots, gear changes, and pedal pressing, theywere actually shot while the cars were stationary. All I had to do was shake the camera like a mad man to get the effect, then work my way in the edit. You have to be creative sometimes and fake it till you make it.
